Abstract
Dampak pandemi yang melanda dunia beberapa tahun terakhir telah menimbulkan dampak kerusakan dalam skala yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya. Untuk itu pemerintahan di setiap negara dituntut untuk dapat meningkatkan efektivitas kerjanya sehingga dapat mengatasi dan memulihkan dampak tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh talent management dan transformational leadership terhadap work effectiveness baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui mediasi employee engagement di lingkungan Kantor Wilayah Direktorat Jenderal Pajak Wajib Pajak Besar. Kuesioner telah disusun dan disebarkan kepada 216 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling kepada pegawai yang memiliki tugas pokok yang berhubungan langsung dengan bisnis inti organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengolahan data menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling berbasis Partial Least Square dengan bantuan software SmartPLS versi 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa talent management dan transformational leadership berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap work effectiveness baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui mediasi employee engagement. Selain itu employee engagement berperan sebagai mediasi parsial antara variabel talent management dan transformational dengan variabel work effectiveness. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mendorong peningkatan penerapan kebijakan talent management dan transformational leadership pada sektor publik di Indonesia khususnya pada Direktorat Jenderal Pajak Kementerian Keuangan. ******************************** The impact of the pandemic that has hit the world in recent years has caused damages on an unprecedented scale. For this reason, the government in each country is required to be able to improve the effectiveness of work so that it can overcome and recover these impacts. This study aims to analyze the influence of talent management and transformational leadership on work effectiveness, directly or indirectly, through employee engagement mediation. It was conducted in the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes for Large Taxpayers- Jakarta, Indonesia. Questionnaires were developed and distributed to 216 respondents. Data collection is done by purposive sampling of employees with main tasks directly related to the organization's core business. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data processing uses Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that talent management and transformational leadership have a significant and positive effect on work effectiveness, either directly or indirectly, through employee engagement mediation. Talent management and transformational leadership have a significant and positive effect on employee engagement. Finally, employee engagement has a significant and positive effect on work effectiveness. In addition, employee engagement acts as a partial mediation between the independent and dependent variables. This research is expected to encourage the increased application of talent management policies and transformational leadership in the public sector in Indonesia especially at the Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance.
