Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu melatih kemampuan membaca permulaan bagi siswa hambatan intelektual. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan metode Research and Development dengan model pengembangan PPE, yakni planning, production, dan evaluation. Tahap evaluasi diperoleh melalui validasi ahli dan uji coba lapangan. Validasi ahli dilakukan oleh tiga ahli,yakni ahli media, ahli hambatan intelektual, dan ahli pembelajaran. Ahli media memberikan nilai sebesar 82,5% dengan kategori baik. Ahli hambatan intelektual memberikan nilai sebesar 83,75% dengan kategori baik. Ahli materi memberikan nilai sebesar 83,75% dengan kategori baik. Uji coba lapangan dilakukan terhadap tiga siswa hambatan intelektual ringan kelas II. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, media ini dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran untuk kemampuan membaca permulaan. Media ini dapat membuat siswa aktif selama pembelajaran dan membuat siswa antusias untuk belajar. *********************************************** The purpose of this research is to produce media that can help to practice word recognition abilities for children with intellectual disabilities. The method used is research and development method with PPE model. There are 3 steps of development, that are planning, production and evaluation. The evaluation stage is obtained through expert validation and field test. Expert validation done by 3 expert, which is media expert, intellectual disabilities expert, and matter expert. Media expert gave a score 82,5% with good categorie. Intellectual disabilities expert gave a score 83,75% with good categorie. Matter expert gave a score 83,75% with good categorie. Field test were carried out on 3 children with intellectual disabilities in 2nd grade. Based on field test results, this media can be used for one of learning media for word recognition abilities. This media can make students more active during the learning and make the student enthusiastic.
