Abstract
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT Waste4Change Alam Indonesia, Vida Bumipala, Jl. Alun Alun Utara, RT.002/RW.001, Padurenan, Mustika Jaya, Kota Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober sampai bulan Desember 2021. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 6 orang informan yakni 4 orang karyawan Waste4Change dan 2 orang partisipan program Send Your Waste. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam pada informan, observasi di lokasi penelitian dan data sekunder seperti tinjauan penelitian sebelumnya, sumber informasi pada web dan media sosial Waste4Change serta berita dan data KLHK. Hasil penelitian ini adalah adanya berbagai strategi yang digunakkan oleh Waste4Change guna menjaring partisipan untuk mengikuti program ini hasilnya sebanyak 2000+ partisipan mengirimkan sampah hasil pilahannya serta lebih dari 8 ton sampah berhasil dikelola sehingga tidak berakhir di TPA. Namun dalam Program Pemilahan Sampah ini ditemukan praktik kapitalisasi karena adanya aspek yang menguntungkan bagi perusahaan penyelenggara program Send Your Waste. Hal ini disebabkan oleh ketidak mampuan pemerintah dalam melakukan pengelolaan dan pemilahan sampah yang terpadu sehingga memberikan peluang masuknya pihak swasta dalam pengelolaan dan pemilahan sampah di Indonesia. ****************************************** This research used a qualitative approach with a case study research method. This research was conducted in PT Waste4Change Alam Indonesia, Vida Bumipala, Jl. Alun Alun Utara, RT.002/RW.001, Padurenan, Mustika Jaya, Bekasi City, West Java. The research was conducted from October to December 2021. The research subjects consisted of 6 informants, 4 Waste4Change employees and 2 participants of the Send Your Waste program. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with informants, observations at the research site and secondary data such as reviews of previous research, sources of information on the Waste4Change web and social media as well as news and data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. The result of this research is that there are various strategies used by Waste4Change to attract participants to join this program. The result is that 2000+ participants sent their sorted waste and more than 8 tons of waste was successfully managed so that it did not end up in the TPA. However, in this Waste Sorting Program, capitalization practices were found because of the beneficial aspects for the company implementing the Send Your Waste program. This is due to the inability of the government to carry out integrated waste management and sorting so as to provide opportunities for the private sector to enter in waste management and sorting in Indonesia.
