Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis diperlukan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dan memudahkan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat pada salah satu materi pembelajaran biologi yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan lingkungan yaitu ekosistem. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, salah satunya Adversity Quotient. Adversity Quotient merupakan ukuran kemampuan seseorang ketika menghadapi kesulitan yang terjadi dalam hidupnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Adversity Quotient dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMA pada materi ekosistem. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 2 Tangerang pada bulan Januari-Juni 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan studi korelasional. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas XI yang diambil dengan simple random sampling sebanyak 106 sampel dari 134 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan instrumen berupa soal tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi ekosistem dan instrumen skala Adversity Response Profile untuk mengukur Adversity Quotient. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif antara Adversity Quotient dengan kemampuan berpikir berpikir kritis peserta didik SMA pada materi ekosistem dengan kategori hubungan kuat dan nilai kontribusi Adversity Quotient terhadap kemampuan berpikir berpikir kritis peserta didik sebesar 48,9%. ******************************************************** Critical thinking ability are needed by students in the learning process and make it easier for students to solve problems. This can be seen in one of the biology learning materials related to environmental problems, namely ecosystems. There are several factors that contribute to critical thinking ability, one of which is Adversity Quotient. Adversity Quotient is a measure of a person's ability when facing difficulties that occur in his life. This study aims to determine the relationship between Adversity Quotient and critical thinking ability of high school students on ecosystem material. This research was conducted at SMAN 2 Tangerang in January-June 2022. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlational study. The research sample was class XI which was taken by simple random sampling as many as 106 samples from 134 students. Data collection was carried out with instruments in the form of essay test questions to measure critical thinking ability on ecosystem materials and Adversity Response Profile scale instruments to measure Adversity Quotient. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between Adversity Quotient and critical thinking ability of high school students on ecosystem material with a strong relationship category and the value of Adversity Quotient's contribution to students' critical thinking ability was 48.9%.
