Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh penerapan praktikum virtual terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik pada materi titrasi asam basa. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 11 Jakarta pada bulan Maret sampai April 2021. Metode penelitian berupa kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian “Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design”. Sampel adalah kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah angket keterampilan proses sains dan lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains. Data hasil instrumen angket diuji hipotesis dengan uji t independen untuk menguji perbandingan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kedua kelas setelah perlakukan dan uji t berpasangan pada kelas eksperimen untuk menguji pengaruh penerapan praktikum virtual pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil observasi menunjukkan selama proses pembelajaran, keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen (61,36%) termasuk kategori cukup sedangkan keterampilan proses sains kelas kontrol (48,72%) dikategorikan sebagai sangat kurang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian diperoleh thitung (2,305) > ttabel (2,021) sehingga terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Pengujian uji t berpasangan pada kelas eksperimen menghasilkan thitung (5,741) > ttabel (1,714) sehingga terdapat pengaruh positif penerapan praktikum virtual terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik pada materi titrasi asam basa. *********************************************************** This research was aimed to find out the influence of virtual experiment implementation toward student’s science process skills on acid base titration. The research was conducted at SMAN 11 Jakarta in March to April 2022. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with “Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design”. Sample was determined by purposive sampling method, XI MIPA 2 as experiment group and XI MIPA 1 as control group. Research instrument in this study are science process skill questionnaire and observation sheet for science process skills. The data from the questionnaire instrument were tested using an independent t-test to test the comparison of the second student's science process skills after treatment and paired t-test in the experiment to test the virtual experiment application in the experimental class. The results of the observations showed that during the learning process, the science process skills of the experimental class (61.36%) were considered sufficient, while the learning process skills (48.72%) were classified as very poor. Based on questionnaire analysis results, it was obtained tcount (2,305) > ttable (2,021) and the conclusion there were differences in science process skills between the experimental class and the control class. The result of paired t-test testing in the experimental class was tcount (5.741) > ttable (1.714) and the conclusion there was a significant effect of virtual experiment implementation on the science process skills of students in acid-base titration.
