Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) Berbantuan LKS Terstruktur Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Hutabayuraja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Cluster random sampling dilakukan untuk memilih secara acak dua kelas dari empat kelas yang berdistribusi normal, homogen, dan memiliki kesamaan rata-rata untuk dijadikan sebagi kelas eksperimen (model pembelajaran Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) Berbantuan LKS Terstruktur) dan kelas kontrol (model pembelajaran konvensional). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes akhir kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis berupa soal uraian yang terdiri atas lima soal yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian prasyarat analisis data setelah perlakuan, diketahui bahwa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berdistribusi normal dan homogen.Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) Berbantuan LKS Terstruktur terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Hutabayuraja. Besar pengaruhnya adalah sebesar 0,9269 dengan persentase 82% yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. ********* This study aimed to determine the effect of Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model assisted by structured student worksheet on students’ mathematical problem-solving skill in SMP Negeri 3 Hutabayuraja. This research applied quasi experiment design. The sample was withdrawn by using cluster random sampling technique. Cluster random sampling was performed to randomly selected two out of four classes which has normal distribution, homogeneous, and equal average to become experiment class (STAD learning model assisted by structured student worksheet) and the control class (conventional learning model). The instrument of this research is the mathematical problem-solving skills test, consist of five problems. Before being used, the instrument has passed the test of validity and reliability. Based on the result of the calculation of the prerequisite test of data analysis after the treatment, the experiment class and the control class came from a normal distributed population and homogeneous. Therefore, it can be concluded that the average of students’ mathematical problem-solving skill in experiment class is higher than of the control class. Based on that, there is a significant effect of the application of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model assisted by structured student worksheet on students’ mathematical problem-solving skill in SMP Negeri 3 Hutabayuraja. The effect size is 0,9269 with percentage of 82% in the large category.
