Abstract
************************************************************ This study aims to analyze the scientific literacy of students in the aspects of knowledge, competence, context, and attitude through the integration of socio-scientific issues in the learning of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions. The study was conducted in the even semester of the 2021-2022 academic year on 36 students of class X MIPA 3 at SMAN 102 Jakarta. The research method used is qualitative. Research data obtained through observation, journal reflective, scientific literacy test, student worksheets, and interviews. The results of this study are learning chemistry on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions using a socioscientific issue approach makes learning meaningful because it uses issues in everyday life and makes it easier for students to understand the concepts of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions. The results of the scientific literacy of students in this study are in the context aspect as many as 67% of students are at the scientific illiteracy level, the competence and knowledge aspects of the majority are at the nominal scientific literacy level with the percentages of 39% and 53% respectively, as well as in the attitude aspect 75% of students are at the level of functional scientific literacy. The results obtained in this study are that the majority of students have mastered aspects of scientific literacy at the intermediate level except for the context aspect, where the majority are at the lowest level.
