Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan kehidupan masyarakat, kebutuhan akan bahan bangunan juga meningkat, salah satu bahan bangunan yang sering digunakan adalah bata ringan. Salah satu material menyusun bata ringan adalah semen. Semen merupakan material pengikat pada campuran bata ringan. Semen dapat disubtitusi dengan material pozzolan untuk mengurangi jumlahnya dengan tetap mempertahanka kekuatan bata ringan yang dihasilkan. Abu serbuk kayu merupakan bahan mengandung pozzolan yang berasal dari pembakaran limbah serbuk kayu yang tidak termanfaatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pemanfaatan abu limbah serbuk kayu sebagai bahan tambah semen pada pembuatan bata ringan CLC. Karakteristik bata ringan CLC yang ditinjau terdiri dari bobot isi, kuat tekan, dan kuat lentur. Variasi penambahan abu serbuk kayu terdiri dari variasi 0%, 4%, 6%, 8%, dan 10%. Abu serbuk kayu yang digunakan berasal dari pembakaran limbah serbuk kayu jadi pada suhu 600-700 derajat celcius selama 2-3 jam dan telah lolos saringan no.200. Pada penelitian ini didapat bahwa penambahan abu serbuk kayu jati cenderung menurunkan bobot isi, kuat tekan, dan kuat lentur bata ringan. Pada variasi 0%, 4%, 6%, 8%, dan 10%, bobot isi bata ringan memenuhi syarat maksimum SNI 03-2156-1991 dengan bobot isi kering masing-masing 792,92 kg/m3, 702,94 kg/m3, 666,47 kg/m3, 672,79 kg/m3, dan 645,27 kg/m3. Kuat tekan dan kuat lentur pada variasi 0%, 4%, dan 6% memenuhi syarat minimum SNI dengan kuat tekan masin-masing 4,02 MPa, 3,74 MPa, 3,65 MPa dan kuat lentur masing-masing 0,85 MPa, 0,72 MPa, 0,66 MPa. Sementara pada variasi 8% dan 10% dengan kuat tekan masing-masing 3,48 MPa, 3,25 MPa dan kuat lentur masing-masing 0,50 MPa, 0,43 MPa sudah tidak memenuhi syarat minimum SNI. ************************************************************ Along with the increasing needs of people's lives, the need for building materials also increases, one of the building materials that is often used is lightweight brick. One of the materials that make up lightweight bricks is cement. Cement is a binder material in lightweight brick mixtures. Cement can be substituted with pozzolanic material to reduce the amount while maintaining the strength of the resulting lightweight brick. Sawdust ash is a material containing pozzolans that comes from burning waste wood that is not utilized. This study aims to determine the effect of using sawdust waste ash as a cement additive in the manufacture of CLC lightweight bricks. The characteristics of CLC lightweight bricks that are reviewed consist of bulk weight, compressive strength, and flexural strength. Variations in the addition of sawdust ash consisted of variations of 0%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%. The sawdust ash used comes from the burning of finished sawdust at a temperature of 600-700 degrees Celsius for 2-3 hours and has passed filter no. 200. In this study, it was found that the addition of teak powder ash tends to reduce the bulk density, compressive strength, and flexural strength of lightweight bricks. In the variations of 0%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%, the lightweight brick infill weight meets the maximum requirements of SNI 03-2156-1991 with a dry weight of 792.92 kg/m3, 702.94 kg/m3 respectively. m3, 666.47 kg/m3, 672.79 kg/m3, and 645.27 kg/m3. The compressive strength and flexural strength at variations of 0%, 4%, and 6% meet the minimum requirements of SNI with a compressive strength of 4.02 MPa, 3.74 MPa, 3.65 MPa and a flexural strength of 0.85 MPa, , 0.72 MPa, 0.66 MPa. Meanwhile, the variation of 8% and 10% with compressive strength of 3.48 MPa, 3.25 MPa and flexural strength of 0.50 MPa, 0.43 MPa, respectively, does not meet the minimum requirements of SNI.
