The purpose of community service (PkM) is to improve teacher competence in learning through the preparation of HOTS-based assessment instruments. Teacher competence in developing HOTS-based assessment instruments has an impact on students so that they can have the 6C skills (communication, creative, critical thinking, collaboration, compassion, and computational) needed in the 21st century era. The method used in PkM is training in compiling assessment instruments based on HOTS. The opening of the PkM was carried out by Asda of Cianjur Regency and remarks by the director of Postgraduate UNJ on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Bobojong Village Office. Implementation of training on the preparation of HOTS-based assessment instruments on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at SMP Negeri 1 Mande, starting at 08.00-15.00 WIB followed by discussions, doing assignments in Google Classroom. The training materials consist of lesson planning and preparation of HOTS-based assessment instruments. This training was attended by teachers of SMP, SMA, and SMK in the Kec. Mande. The results of the training showed that the ability of participants to the HOTS-based assessment instrument was 63%. Prior to training, the average knowledge of HOTS-based assessment instruments was only 47%. The results of this training showed that there was an increase in understanding the HOTS-based assessment instrument by 16%. The ability to compose a HOTS-based multiple choice instrument is demonstrated by completing the given task well.
