Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest control groups design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV di SDN Kenari 08, Kecamatan Senen, Jakarta Pusat. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dari populasi yang ditetapkan yaitu SD Negeri di Kecamatan Senen yaitu sebanyak 64 orang. Terdapat dua kelas yang terpilih yaitu kelas IV-B sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 32 orang dan kelas IV-A sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 32 orang. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL), sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model Inquiry Learning. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal pilihan ganda. Instrumen tersebut diuji normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai uji prasyarat data. Kemudian dilakukan analisis hipotesis menggunakan uji-z dan independent sample t-test menggunakan SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil nilai rata-rata hasil belajar IPA kelas eksperimen 56,56 meningkat menjadi 76,69, dan rata-rata hasil belajar IPA kelas kontrol 52,47 meningkat menjadi 67,19. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-z diperoleh Zhitung > Ztabel yaitu 2,777 > 1,960 pada taraf signifikansi 5%, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan penggunaan model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) terhadap hasil belajar IPA. /***** This research aims to determine the effect of using the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model on the science learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students. This research uses a quantitative experimental method with a nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest control groups design. The sample in this study was all class IV students at SDN Kenari 08, Senen District, Central Jakarta. Sampling used a random sampling technique from the specified population, namely Public Elementary Schools in Senen District, namely 64 people. There were two classes selected, namely class IV-B as the experimental class, totaling 32 people and class IV-A as the control class, totaling 32 people. The experimental class uses the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model, while the control class uses the Inquiry Learning model. Data collection was carried out using test instruments in the form of multiple choice questions. The instrument was tested for normality and homogeneity as a data prerequisite test. Then hypothesis analysis was carried out using the z-test and independent sample t-test using SPSS version 27.The results showed that the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model had an influence on the science learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students. This is evidenced from the results of the average value of science learning outcomes of the experimental class 56.56 increased to 76.69, and the average science learning outcomes of the control class 52.47 increased to 67.19. The results of hypothesis testing using the z-test obtained Zcount> Ztable, namely 2.777 > 1.960 at the 5% significance level, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant positive effect of using the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model on science learning outcomes.
