Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5e terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam pada kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Peneltian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Februari 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Cluster Random Sampling sehingga terpilih Sekolah Dasar Negeri Pejaten Timur 01, Jakarta Selatan dengan jumlah responden 60 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal uraian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji-t, diperoleh dengan hasil thitung sebesar 3,23 > 1,67 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5e berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam pada kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Untuk itu, model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5e dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Kata Kunci : Learning Cycle 5e, Kemampuan berpikir kritis, Pembelajaran IPA ABSTRACT The purpose of this study to know the effect of the applying of 5e learning cycle model in science for critical thinking skills of fifth grade elementary school students in pasar minggu. The research was conducted in January to February 2020. The research method used was an experimental method with an experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique used was Cluster Random Sampling so that the chosen Public Elementary School of Pejaten Timur 01, South Jakarta with a total of 60 students respondents. Data collection techniques using the problem description. Data analysis technique using t-test. Based on the result of t-test calculations, obtained with the tcount of 3,23 > 1,67 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, it can be concluded that the application of the Learning Cycle 5e learning model has a positive effect on students’ critical thinking skills in learning natural scince in the classroom V elementary school. For this reason, the Learning Cycle 5e learning model can be used as an alternative in learning to improve students’ critical thinking skills.
