Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pelatihan dasar mekanik konversi mobil listrik berbasis kompetensi, menganalisis kelayakan model, serta menganalisis efektivitas model yang dihasilkan, guna mendukung kebijakan transisi kendaraan listrik dan membekali mekanik dengan pengetahuan serta keterampilan yang relevan. Model pelatihan ini dikembangkan menggunakan kombinasi dari model McGehee & Thayer, SAM, dan four level dari Kirkpatrick. Analisis kebutuhan pelatihan dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data sesuai dengan kerangka model McGehee & Thayer untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan potensi pengembangan. Proses pengembangan model disesuaikan dengan model SAM, diikuti dengan evaluasi komprehensif menggunakan model Kirkpatrick. Model pelatihan yang dikembangkan menggunakan metode flipped learning dengan nama MELVIC, dimana pada awal pelatihan peserta didik diberikan materi teori dan pemahaman flipped learning, dilanjutkan diskusi, uji coba dan penyelesaian masalah teknis dalam konversi mobil listrik. Model ini dilengkapi dengan modul pembelajaran untuk peserta didik dan panduan instruktur. Hasil evaluasi formatif menunjukkan bahwa model ini layak digunakan dari segi desain, materi, media, dan bahasa. Uji lapangan memperlihatkan tanggapan positif dari peserta didik terhadap model dan media pendukung. Efektivitas model ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan pemahaman terhadap konsep konversi mobil listrik. Evaluasi akhir menunjukkan bahwa model MELVIC dinyatakan 'Layak Digunakan' dengan skor N-Gain = 0,76, termasuk kategori “Tinggi”. Hal ini mengindikasikan peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 76%. Rata-rata nilai peserta meningkat dari 51,96 (pre-test) menjadi 88,48 (post-test), dengan peningkatan sebesar 36,52%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model MELVIC efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik, terutama pemahaman konsep teknis yang dibutuhkan dalam konversi mobil listrik. ***** This study aims to develop a competency-based basic training model for electric car conversion mechanics, assess its feasibility, and evaluate its effectiveness in supporting the electric vehicle transition policy while equipping mechanics with relevant knowledge and skills. The training model was designed using the McGehee & Thayer model, SAM, and Kirkpatrick's four-level evaluation framework. A training needs analysis was conducted by collecting data based on the McGehee & Thayer model to identify key challenges and potential areas for improvement. The model development process was then refined using the SAM model and a comprehensive evaluation through Kirkpatrick's framework. The resulting training model, MELVIC, adopts a flipped learning approach, where students begin with self-paced theoretical study before engaging in discussions, hands-on trials, and problem-solving activities related to electric car conversion. This model includes a learning module for students and an instructor's guide to facilitate the training process. Formative evaluations indicate that the MELVIC model is feasible for implementation, considering design, content, media, and language aspects. Field tests revealed positive student responses toward the model and its supporting media. The model's effectiveness was demonstrated through a notable improvement in students' understanding of electric car conversion concepts. The final evaluation reported an N-Gain score of 0.76, which was classified as high, signifying a 76% increase in knowledge. Participants' average scores improved from 51.96 (pre-test) to 88.48 (post-test), reflecting a 36.52% increase in performance. These findings confirm that the MELVIC model dramatically enhances students' technical understanding of electric car conversion. Given its success, this model holds great potential for widespread adoption in electric vehicle conversion training programs, contributing to the development of skilled mechanics in an era of rapidly evolving electric vehicle technology.
