Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi Partizip II yang terdapat dalam dongeng Das tapfere Schneiderlein dari kumpulan dongeng Brüder Grimm. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 5 dari 6 fungsi Partizip II yang diidentifikasi dalam dongeng Das tapfere Schneiderlein, yakni Partizip II memiliki fungsi dalam kalimat Perfekt, Plusquamperfekt, Passiv, Konjunktiv II, dan attributive Partizipien. Sementara itu, tidak ditemukan adanya fungsi Partizip II dalam kalimat Futur II. Partizip II yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 51 data, dengan rincian sebagai berikut: Partizip II dengan fungsi Perfekt berjumlah 15 data, Plusquamperfekt 11 data, Passiv 12 data, Konjunktiv II 10 data, dan attributive Partizipien 3 data. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari 5 fungsi Partizip II yang terdapat dalam dongeng, Partizip II yang digunakan dalam kalimat Perfekt diidentifikasi memiliki jumlah data terbanyak, yaitu 15 data. Hal ini disebabkan oleh narasi dongeng yang berfokus pada kejadian yang telah dialami oleh tokoh utama, sang penjahit kecil. Maka, struktur Perfekt digunakan untuk menjelaskan kejadian yang telah selesai terjadi pada kala lampau. Kata Kunci: Fungsi Gramatikal, Partizip II, Dongeng, Das tapfere Schneiderlein ***** This study aims to describe the function of Participle II found in the fairy tale Das tapfere Schneiderlein from the Grimm Brothers’ collection of fairy tales. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method. The results of the study show that 5 out of 6 functions of Participle II are identified in the fairy tale Das tapfere Schneiderlein, namely: Participle II functions in the Perfekt, Plusquamperfekt, Passiv, Konjunktiv II, and as attributive Participles. Meanwhile, no instances of Participle II functioning in Futur II were found. A total of 51 instances of Participle II were identified, with the following breakdown: 15 instances in Perfekt, 11 in Plusquamperfekt, 12 in Passiv, 10 in Konjunktiv II, and 3 as attributive Participles. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that among the 5 identified functions of Participle II in the tale, the use of Participle II in Perfekt sentences is the most frequent, with 15 instances. This is due to the narrative structure of the fairy tale, which focuses on events experienced by the main character, the little tailor. Therefore, the Perfekt tense is used to describe actions that were completed in the past. Keywords: Grammatical Function, Participle II, Fairy Tale, Das tapfere Schneiderlein
