Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh bimbingan kelompok menggunakan teknik problem solving terhadap resiliensi peserta didik kelas VIII di SMPIT Permata Bunda Islamic Boarding School. Resiliensi, yaitu kemampuan individu untuk beradaptasi dan mengatasi tantangan hidup, sangat penting bagi peserta didik di sekolah berasrama yang menghadapi tuntutan akademik serta tantangan hidup mandiri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-experimental dengan desain pretest posttest nonequivalent group, melibatkan kelompok eksperimen (n=10) yang menerima intervensi berupa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik problem solving, dan kelompok kontrol (n=10) yang tidak mendapatkan intervensi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui skala resiliensi yang diadaptasi dari Reivich & Shatte (2002), yang mengukur tujuh aspek utama, yaitu regulasi emosi, kontrol impuls, optimisme, kemampuan analisis masalah, empati, efikasi diri, dan kemampuan mencapai tujuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor resiliensi kelompok eksperimen, dari rata-rata 60.9 pada pretest menjadi 71.1 pada posttest, dengan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.030 (p < 0.05). Sebaliknya, kelompok kontrol tidak menunjukkan perubahan yang berarti, dengan rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 64.6 dan posttest sebesar 64.2 serta nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.566 (p > 0.05). Temuan ini mendukung efektivitas bimbingan kelompok berbasis problem solving dalam meningkatkan resiliensi peserta didik, dan dapat menjadi strategi penting bagi konselor sekolah dalam mendukung ketahanan dan kesejahteraan siswa di sekolah berasrama. ***** This study aims to examine the effect of group guidance using a problem-solving technique on the resilience of eighth-grade students at SMPIT Permata Bunda Islamic Boarding School. Resilience, defined as the ability to adapt and overcome life’s challenges, is crucial for boarding school students who face both academic demands and the challenges of independent living. This research employs a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design, involving an experimental group (n=10) that received group guidance with a problem-solving technique and a control group (n=10) that did not receive the intervention. Data were collected using a resilience scale adapted from Reivich & Shatte (2002), which measures seven key aspects: emotional regulation, impulse control, optimism, problem analysis, empathy, self-efficacy, and goal-setting ability. The results indicate a significant increase in resilience scores in the experimental group, with an average score rising from 60.9 on the pretest to 71.1 on the posttest. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test shows a significance value of 0.030 (p < 0.05). In contrast, the control group showed no significant change, with pretest and posttest average scores of 64.6 and 64.2, respectively, and a significance value of 0.566 (p > 0.05). These findings support the effectiveness of problem-solving-based group guidance in enhancing student resilience and suggest it may be a valuable strategy for school counselors to foster student resilience and well being in boarding school settings.
