Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh partisipasi masyarakat melalui intervensi berupa sosialisasi singkat dan kegiatan kerja bakti lingkungan terhadap peningkatan tingkat adaptasi banjir masyarakat di Kelurahan Pedurenan, Kecamatan Karang Tengah, Kota Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen berupa one-group pre-test post-test design. Sebanyak 100 responden dari RW 05, RW 06, dan RW 08 menjadi subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket berformat pilihan ganda ya/tidak yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, dengan total 16 item pernyataan yang terbagi dalam tiga dimensi: pengetahuan dan informasi, adaptasi struktural dan non-struktural, serta perilaku dan kesiapsiagaan komunitas. Uji normalitas dilakukan dengan Kolmogorov-Smirnov, dan analisis hipotesis menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata tingkat adaptasi dari 9,48 (kategori sedang) menjadi 13,29 (kategori tinggi) setelah intervensi, dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0,001. Seluruh dimensi adaptasi menunjukkan peningkatan, terutama pada aspek pengetahuan dan informasi. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa partisipasi aktif masyarakat melalui edukasi dan aksi kolektif berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan adaptif terhadap risiko banjir. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan yang menggabungkan sosialisasi dan kerja bakti direkomendasikan sebagai strategi efektif dalam pengurangan risiko bencana berbasis komunitas. *** This study aims to examine the influence of community participation through interventions in the form of brief educational outreach and community clean-up activities on improving flood adaptation levels in Pedurenan Subdistrict, Karang Tengah District, Tangerang City. The research employed a quantitative quasi-experimental method using a one-group pre-test post-test design, involving 100 respondents from RW 05, RW 06, and RW 08. Data were collected using a 16-item questionnaire, covering three key dimensions: knowledge and information, structural and non-structural adaptation, and behavioral and community preparedness. The questionnaire was previously tested for validity and reliability. Normality was tested using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, and differences between pre-test and post-test scores were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, as the data were not normally distributed. Results revealed a significant increase in the average adaptation score from 9.48 (moderate category) to 13.29 (high category) after the intervention (p < 0.001). All dimensions showed improvement, with the most notable increase in knowledge and information. These findings demonstrate that active community participation through education and collective action plays a crucial role in enhancing adaptive capacity to flood risk. Therefore, combining brief flood-related education with community engagement activities such as clean-ups is recommended as an effective community-based disaster risk reduction strategy.
