Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pengembangan media pembelajaran inovatif untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik, khususnya pada materi gotong royong dalam Pendidikan Pancasila. Hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan guru kelas V menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih belum optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media Wordless Picture Book (WPB) digital berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian meliputi satu guru dan 32 peserta didik kelas V di SDN Tanjung Barat 07. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari wawancara, observasi, angket validasi ahli, angket respons peserta didik, serta soal pretest dan posttest. Hasil validasi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan media sebesar 89,16% dari ahli materi, media, dan bahasa dengan kategori sangat baik. Uji coba dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu one to one, small group, dan field test, dengan respons peserta didik sebesar 92,15%. Hasil tes menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan rata-rata nilai pretest 56,5 dan posttest 81,25, serta N-Gain sebesar 0,57 (kategori sedang). Dengan demikian, WPB digital berbasis PBL dinyatakan layak digunakan untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. ***** This study aims to develop innovative learning media to enhance fifth-grade students’ critical thinking skills in the context of Pancasila Education. Observations and interviews indicated that students’ critical thinking abilities were suboptimal. To address this, a digital Wordless Picture Book (WPB) based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach was created. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method and the ADDIE model, data were collected from a fifth-grade teacher and 32 students at SDN Tanjung Barat 07 through various questionnaires and tests. The media received a feasibility score of 89.16%, indicating it was very good. Testing showed an average student response of 92.15%, and critical thinking skills improved from an average pretest score of 56.5 to a posttest score of 81.25, with an N-Gain score of 0.57. Therefore, the digital WPB is effective for enhancing critical thinking in Pancasila Education lessons.
