Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Perubahan Spasial Penggunaan Lahan di Kabupaten Karawang Provinsi Jawa Barat, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis spasial dan unit analisis yang terdiri dari 30 kecamatan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh penggunaan lahan di Kabupaten Karawang meliputi lahan hutan, kebun, sawah, pemukiman, industri dan tambak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan lahan di Kabupaten Karawang tahun 2014 hingga 2024. Lahan yang mengalami peningkatan yaitu hutan 28.133 ha atau 15,26%, sawah 75.333 ha atau 40,88%, permukiman 27.010 ha atau 14,65%, tambak yang 20.750 ha atau 14,67% dan kebun 27,449 ha atau 14,33%. Sementara itu, lahan yang mengalami penurunan yaitu lahan industri sebesar 13.414 ha atau 7,28% turun dari 19.008 ha. Selain itu luasan lahan juga mengalami peningkatan dari 184 .354 ha pada tahun 2014 menjadi 198.389 ha di tahun 2024. Secara keseluruhan Perubahan penggunaan lahan di Kabupaten Karawang pada tahun 2014 sampai dengan tahun 2024 mengalami perubahan penggunaan lahan yang signifikan, hal ini terjadi karena adanya pertumbuhan penduduk dan pertumbuhan ekonomi sehingga mengakibatkan perubahan akan lahan meningkat. Dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir tercatat perubahan penggunaan lahan seluas 140.614 Ha, perubahan penggunaan lahan diantaranya hutan menjadi kebun seluas 20.180 Ha atau 16,42%, diikuti oleh tambak menjadi sawah seluas 14.002 Ha atau 11,39%, dan tambak menjadi sawah seluas 10.875 Ha atau 8,85%. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan penggunaan lahan sawah menjadi permukiman seluas 10.860 Ha atau 7,7% dan sawah menjadi hutan seluas 9.817 Ha atau 7,99%. The population of this study is all land use in Karawang Regency including forest land, gardens, rice fields, settlements, industry and fish ponds. The results of the study show that land use in Karawang Regency from 2014 to 2024. Land that experienced an increase was forest 28,133 ha or 15.26%, rice fields 75,333 ha or 40.88%, settlements 27,010 ha or 14.65%, fish ponds 20,750 ha or 14.67% and gardens 27,449 ha or 14.33%. Meanwhile, the land that experienced a decline was industrial land by 13,414 ha or 7.28% down from 19,008 ha. In addition, the land area also increased from 184,354 ha in 2014 to 198,389 ha in 2024. Overall, changes in land use in Karawang Regency from 2014 to 2024 experienced significant changes in land use, this occurred due to population growth and economic growth resulting in changes in land use increasing. In the last ten years, changes in land use were recorded at 140,614 ha, changes in land use included forests to gardens covering 20,180 ha or 16.42%, followed by ponds to rice fields covering 14,002 ha or 11.39%, and ponds to rice fields covering 10,875 ha or 8.85%. In addition, there was a change in land use from rice fields to residential areas covering an area of 10,860 Ha or 7.7% and rice fields to forests covering an area of 9,817 Ha or 7.99%.
