Abstract

Aluminium (Al) merupakan unsur ketiga yang paling melimpah di kerak bumi. Aluminium banyak digunakan sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan peralatan rumah tangga, pasta gigi, kosmetik, dll. Distribusi yang luas dari unsur ini berpotensi menyebabkan paparan yang dapat berbahaya pada manusia. Asupan aluminium dalam jumlah berlebihan dapat menyebabkan aluminium terakumulasi pada organ target sehingga mengakibatkan kerusakan jaringan. Salah satunya yaitu jaringan testikular. Pada penelitian ini digunakan senyawa kurkumin yang dianggap sebagai antioksidan kuat dan dapat memperbaiki kerusakan jaringan testikular yang disebabkan oleh aluminium. Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efek pemberian kurkumin terhadap perubahan struktur histologis testis mencit usia 1 dan 2 bulan yang diinduksi AlCl3. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Hewan Coba Puslitbang Biomedis dan Laboratorium Struktur Perkembangan Hewan Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April-September 2019. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan desain Racangan Acak Lengkap. Pada penelitian ini mencit usia 1 dan 2 bulan, masing-masing dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok, antara lain yaitu kelompok kontrol, kelompok perlakuan yang diberi AlCl3 200mg/kg BB dan kelompok perlakuan yang diberi AlCl3 200mg/kg BB dengan kurkumin 200mg/kg BB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan struktur histologis testis mencit setelah diberi AlCl3.. Perubahan tersebut berupa ketidakteraturan pola susunan sel-sel germinal dan terjadinya lisis pada jaringan ikat yang menghubungkan dan mengisi ruang antar sel-sel germinal epitel seminiferus. Pemberian kurkumin dapat melindungi jaringan testis mencit, sehingga tidak mengalami perubahan struktur histologis, baik pada mencit usia 1 dan 2 bulan. ******************************* Aluminum (Al) is the third most abundant element in the earth's crust. Aluminum is widely used as a basic material for making household appliances, toothpaste, cosmetics, etc. The wide distribution of this element has the potential to cause exposure which can be dangerous to humans. Excessive intake of aluminum can cause aluminum to accumulate in the target organ, resulting in tissue damage. One of them is testicular tissue. In this study curcumin compounds are considered as powerful antioxidants and can repair damaged testicular tissue caused by aluminum. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of curcumin administration on changes in the testicular histological structure of mice 1 and 2 months induced by AlCl3. This research was conducted at the Experimental Animal Laboratory of the Biomedical Research and Development Center and the Animal Development Structure Laboratory of the State University of Jakarta. This research was conducted in April-September 2019. The method used was an experimental study with a completely randomized design. In this study, mice aged 1 and 2 months, each divided into three groups, including the control group, the treatment group who were given AlCl3 200mg / kg body weight and the treatment group were given AlCl3 200mg / kg body weight with 200mg / kg body weight curcumin. The results showed a change in the histological structure of the testis of mice after AlCl3 was given. These changes are in the form of irregular arrangement of germ cells and lysis of connective tissue that connects and fills the space between germinal cells of the seminiferous epithelium. The administration of curcumin can protect the testicular tissue of mice, so that there is no change in histological structure, both in mice 1 and 2 months old.
