Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan strategi feedback terhadap metakognisi peserta didik pada materi energi terbarukan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei–Juni 2025 dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian quasi experiment. Sampel yang terdiri dari sembilan kelas ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Kelompok kontrol terdiri dari 97 peserta didik (kelas X-2, X-5, dan X-H), kelompok individu terdiri dari 101 peserta didik (kelas X-1, X-4, dan X-G), dan kelompok kooperatif terdiri dari 94 peserta didik (kelas X-3, X-6, dan X-I). Kemampuan metakognisi peserta didik diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis yang selanjutnya ukuran efek dampak diukur dengan Cohen’s d. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi feedback efektif terhadap metakognisi peserta didik pada materi energi terbarukan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, guru direkomendasikan menggunakan strategi feedback untuk mendukung pengembangan metakognisi peserta didik. *********************************************************** This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the 'feedback on metacognitions' strategy on renewable energy. The experiment was conducted from May to June 2025 using the type of quasi-experimental design. The sample consists of nine classes and was determined using purposive sampling. The control group consists of 97 students (classes X-2, X-5, and X-H), the individual group consists of 101 students (classes X-1, X-4, and X-G), and the cooperative group consists of 94 students (classes X-3, X-6, and X-I). The Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) questionnaire was applied to measure students’ metacognitive awareness. The data obtained were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric test, and the effect size was calculated using Cohen's d. The results showed that the feedback strategy was effective in improving students' metacognition on renewable energy material. Based on this study, teachers are recommended to use feedback strategies on metacognitions to support the development of students' metacognition.
