Abstract

Makeup Artist (MUA) freelance memiliki peran penting dalam industri kecantikan yang terus berkembang, khususnya di wilayah DKI Jakarta. Dalam menjalankan profesinya, kinerja seorang MUA dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah pengalaman kerja. Belum banyak penelitian yang membahas sejauh mana pengalaman kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja Makeup Artist khususnya freelance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengalaman kerja terhadap kinerja Makeup Artist freelance di DKI Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif asosiatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner secara online kepada 70 responden yang telah memiliki pengalaman kerja minimal dua tahun dan bekerja di DKI jakarta. Variabel pengalaman kerja diukur melalui 3 dimensi, sedangkan variabel kinerja diukur menggunakan 5 dimensi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan telah dilakukan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas, yang menyatakan bahwa instrumen tersebut valid dan reliabel. Sedangkan uji asumsi teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji linearitas, uji regresi linear sederhana, uji determinasi dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman kerja dengan kinerja MUA. Uji korelasi menghasilkan nilai r sebesar 0,809 dengan signifikansi 0,001, yang menunjukkan tingkat hubungan yang sangat kuat. Persamaan regresi linear yang diperoleh adalah Y = 25,196 + 1,022X, yang berarti setiap peningkatan pengalaman kerja sebesar 1% akan meningkatkan kinerja sebesar 1,022 poin. Koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 65% menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman kerja menyumbang 65% terhadap peningkatan kinerja MUA, sedangkan 35% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Untuk uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis T dengan hasil P value 0,001<0,05 atau 11,367 > 1,668 (T- tabel 5%). ***** Freelance Make-Up Artists (MUAs) play a vital role in the ever-evolving beauty industry, particularly in the DKI Jakarta area. In practicing their profession, an MUA’s performance is influenced by various factors, one of which is work experience. However, there is still a lack of research on the extent to which work experience affects the performance of freelance MUAs. This study aims to examine the impact of work experience on the performance of freelance make-up Artists in DKI Jakarta. A quantitative associative method was employed, using purposive sampling as the sampling technique. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 70 respondents who have at least two years of work experience and are currently working in DKI Jakarta. The work experience variable was measured through three dimensions, while the performance variable was measured using five dimensions. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability, and the results confirmed that it was both valid and reliable. Data analysis assumptions were tested using normality and linearity tests, followed by simple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing through a T-test. The results indicate a positive and significant relationship between work experience and MUA performance. The correlation test yielded an r-value of 0.809 with a significance level of 0.001, indicating a very strong relationship. The resulting simple linear regression equation is Y = 25.196 + 1.022X, meaning that every 1% increase in work experience leads to a 1.022-point increase in performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 65% indicates that work experience accounts for 65% of the variation in MUA performance, while the remaining 35% is influenced by other factors. The hypothesis test using T-analysis showed a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05, or 11.367 > 1.668 (T-table at 5%), supporting the conclusion that work experience significantly influences performance.
