Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengalaman siswa dan temuan wali kelas terkait kekerasan seksual di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri di DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan sampel sebanyak 5.923 siswa dan 116 wali kelas yang diperoleh melalui teknik convenience sampling dari 14 SMP Negeri di tiga kota di Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Hostile Hallways Questionnaire dan data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekerasan seksual nonfisik lebih sering dialami siswa dibandingkan kekerasan fisik. Terdapat kesenjangan antara pengalaman siswa dan temuan wali kelas mengenai kekerasan tersebut. Siswa laki-laki maupun perempuan sama-sama berisiko menjadi korban, dan wali kelas perempuan memiliki tingkat temuan kekerasan seksual yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan wali kelas laki-laki. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara sekolah, guru BK, wali kelas, dan orang tua dalam upaya pencegahan serta penanganan kekerasan seksual di lingkungan sekolah. ***** This study aims to describe students’ experiences and homeroom teachers’ findings regarding sexual harassment in public junior high schools in DKI Jakarta. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach, involving 5,923 students and 116 homeroom teachers selected through convenience sampling from 14 public junior high schools across three cities in DKI Jakarta Province. The instrument used was the Hostile Hallways Questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate that non-physical sexual harassment is more frequently experienced by students compared to physical harassment. A gap was found between students’ experiences and homeroom teachers’ recognition of such incidents. Both male and female students are at risk of becoming victims, and female homeroom teachers were found to be more likely to recognize instances of sexual harassment than their male counterparts. These findings highlight the need for collaboration among schools, school counselors, homeroom teachers, and parents to prevent and address sexual harassment in the school environment.
