Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan manajemen perpustakaan SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta. Sub fokus pada penelitian ini ialah perencanaan startegis, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi manajemen perpustakaan SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta, Wakil Kepala Ssekolah Bidang Akademik, Kepala Perpustakaan SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta, Pustakawan Beranda Ilmu, dan Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan DKI Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bawa: (1) Terdapat kesinambungan antara tujuan yang ingin dicapai oleh sekolah dengan tujuan perpustakaan yang terlihat dari visi serta misi, sehingga proses perencanaan menjadi lebih strategis dan adaptif. (2) Pengorganisasian manajemen terlihat dari diberlakukannya pembagian tugas pada seluruh SDM perpustakaan. (3) Pelaksanaan manajemen perpustakaan tercermin pada pelaksanaan pengadaan dan pengelolaan bahan pustaka, pengelolaan sumber daya perpustakaan, pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana perpustakaan, penyediaan layanan perpustakaan, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dan informasi pada pelayanan perpustakaan. (4) Kegiatan monitoring dan evaluasi manajemen perpustakaan SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta dilakukan untuk memantau dan menilai sejauh mana program terlaksana dan telah memberikan efek signifikan atau tidak dalam mencapai tujuan.*****This research aims to examine the implementation of library management at SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta. The sub-focuses of this study are strategic planning, organizing, implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the library management at SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document studies. The informants involved in this study include the Principal of SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta, the Vice Principal for Academic Affairs, the Head of the Library of SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta, the librarian from Beranda Ilmu, and representatives from the Library and Archives Office of DKI Jakarta. The research results show that: (1) There is continuity between the objectives set by the school and those of the library, as reflected in their vision and mission, making the planning process more strategic and adaptive. (2) The organization of library management is reflected in the division of tasks among all library human resources. (3) The implementation of library management is evident in the procurement and management of library materials, management of library resources, management of library facilities and infrastructure, provision of library services, and the utilization of technology and information in library services. (4) Monitoring and evaluation activities of the library management at SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta are carried out to assess the extent to which programs have been implemented and whether they have had a significant impact in achieving the objectives.
