Abstract

Perkembangan aktivitas manusia telah memicu penurunan kualitas lingkungan secara signifikan, terutama disebabkan oleh rendahnya kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap isu pencemaran lingkungan. Pendidikan lingkungan memiliki peran penting dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran dan pemahaman konseptual sejak dini. Namun, peserta didik seringkali menunjukkan tingkat penguasaan konsep yang rendah terhadap pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran POGIL berbantuan Nearpod terhadap penguasaan konsep pencemaran lingkungan pada peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 33 peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes penguasaan konsep dan instrumen non tes berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Independent Sample t-Test menggunakan nilai gain score, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 (tolak H0). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model POGIL berbantuan Nearpod memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep pencemaran lingkungan pada peserta didik. Penerapan model POGIL berbantuan Nearpod terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep pencemaran lingkungan pada peserta didik SMA dan dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif pendekatan pembelajaran dalam pendidikan. ***** The development of human activities has triggered a significant decline in environmental quality, primarily due to low public awareness and understanding of environmental pollution issues. Environmental education has an important role in fostering awareness and conceptual understanding from an early age. However, students often show a low level of concept mastery of environmental pollution. This study aims to examine the effect of POGIL learning model assisted by Nearpod on students' conceptual mastery of environmental pollution. The research method used was quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 33 students in both the experimental and control groups. Data were collected through conceptual mastery tests and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets of learning implementation Data analysis was carried out using an Independent Sample t-Test on gain scores, yielding a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 (reject H0). The results indicate that the POGIL model assisted by Nearpod has a significant effect on students’ mastery of environmental pollution concepts. The implementation of the POGIL model assisted by Nearpod is proven to be effective in enhancing students’ conceptual mastery of environmental pollution in senior high schools and can be utilized as an alternative instructional approach in education.
