Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan kemampuan morfologi, khususnya penguasaan morfem terikat berupa awalan dan kata depan, melalui penerapan Metode Maternal Reflektif (MMR) pada peserta didik hambatan pendengaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah delapan peserta didik kelas 2A SLB Pangudi Luhur Jakarta Barat yang dipilih secara purposive, dengan guru kelas dan guru koordinator SD sebagai informan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan MMR dilaksanakan melalui tahapan perdati, visualisasi, percami, percali, dan refleksi yang berangkat dari pengalaman konkret peserta didik. Keunikan penerapan MMR dalam penelitian ini terletak pada strategi guru dalam memilih morfem terikat yang paling sering muncul dalam percakapan sehari-hari peserta didik, sehingga pembelajaran morfologi bersifat fungsional dan kontekstual. Pemilihan morfem tersebut kemudian diperkuat melalui bantuan animasi menggunakan media PowerPoint untuk mendukung pemahaman makna dan fungsi morfem dalam kalimat. Peserta didik mulai mampu mengenali dan menggunakan beberapa morfem terikat dalam kalimat sederhana. Namun demikian, peserta didik masih mengalami kesulitan dalam membedakan fungsi awalan di- dan kata depan di.Disimpulkan bahwa MMR berkontribusi positif terhadap keterlibatan aktif dan pemahaman morfologi peserta didik hambatan pendengaran. Oleh karena itu, MMR direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara konsisten dengan pendampingan berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran morfologi, khususnya dengan pemilihan morfem yang relevan dengan konteks komunikasi peserta didik. ***** This study aims to analyze the development of morphological abilities, particularly the mastery of bound morphemes in the form of prefixes and prepositions, through the implementation of the Maternal Reflective Method (MMR) in students with hearing impairments. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of eight students from class 2A at SLB Pangudi Luhur, West Jakarta, who were selected purposively, with the classroom teacher and the elementary school coordinator serving as informants. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of MMR was carried out through the stages of perdati, visualization, percami, percali, and reflection, which were based on the students’ concrete experiences. The uniqueness of the implementation of MMR in this study lies in the teacher’s strategy of selecting bound morphemes that most frequently appear in the students’ daily conversations, making morphological learning functional and contextual. The selected morphemes were further reinforced through the use of animated PowerPoint media to support students’ understanding of the meanings and functions of morphemes within sentences. The students began to recognize and use several bound morphemes in simple sentences. However, they still experienced difficulties in distinguishing the function of the prefix di- from the preposition di. It is concluded that MMR contributes positively to the active engagement and morphological understanding of students with hearing impairments. Therefore, MMR is recommended to be implemented consistently with continuous support in morphological learning, particularly through the selection of morphemes that are relevant to the students’ communication context.
