Abstract

Keterserapan lulusan kelas industri SMK pada keahlian Teknik Pengelasan di Indonesia menunjukkan kecenderungan menurun dari tahun ke tahun. Salah satu faktor utama penyebabnya adalah belum optimalnya pencapaian kompetensi peserta didik sesuai kebutuhan Dunia Usaha dan Dunia Industri (DUDI), yang dipengaruhi oleh belum tersedianya Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) baku dalam pelaksanaan kelas industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku panduan pelaksanaan model pembelajaran kelas industri pada keahlian Teknik Pengelasan di SMK. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan metode Research and Development (R&D) melalui model Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi tujuh tahap, meliputi analisis potensi dan permasalahan, pengumpulan informasi, perancangan produk, validasi ahli, perbaikan produk, uji coba, dan produksi. Hasil uji kelayakan oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli bahasa menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat layak. Uji coba produk dilakukan melalui uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba lapangan. Uji coba kelompok kecil terhadap tiga peserta didik memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,52, sedangkan uji coba lapangan terhadap 110 peserta didik kelas industri memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,30. Kedua hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat kepraktisan yang sangat tinggi. Kata kunci: Penelitian Pengembangan, Buku Saku, Kelas Industri, SMK Negeri, Teknik Pengelasan ***** The absorption of vocational school industrial class graduates in Welding Engineering expertise in Indonesia shows a decreasing trend from year to year. One of the main factors is the lack of optimal achievement of student competencies according to the needs of the Business and Industrial World (DUDI), which is influenced by the unavailability of standard Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the implementation of industrial classes. This research aims to develop an guide book for the implementation of an industrial class learning model in Welding Engineering expertise at vocational schools. The research uses a qualitative and quantitative approach with Research and Development (R&D) methods through the Borg and Gall model which is modified into seven stages, including potential and problem analysis, information collection, product design, expert validation, product improvement, trial, and production. The results of the feasibility test by material experts, media experts, and linguists show that the products developed are in the category of very feasible. Product trials are carried out through small group trials and field trials. The small group trial of three students obtained an average score of 4.52, while the field trial of 110 industrial-class students obtained an average score of 4.30. Both results show that the guide book developed has a very high level of practicality.
