Abstract
Kata kunci: Internet of Things, ESP32, sensor ultrasonik, ThingsBoard, banjir, otomatisasi, monitoring sungai. ***** This study aims to design and develop a prototype of an automated water gate and pump control system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) for monitoring river water overflow levels. The system utilizes ultrasonic sensors to detect the water level in both the river and the storage tank, and automatically controls DC motors and water pumps based on detected conditions. The ESP32 microcontroller is used as the main control unit and transmits data via WiFi to the ThingsBoard Cloud platform, which displays real-time monitoring data through an interactive dashboard. The research methodology includes literature study, hardware and software design, functional system testing, and analysis of system response and automation effectiveness. The test results show that the system can read water levels with an accuracy of ±1 cm and respond to control logic with a delay of ±2–3 seconds. The automation process achieved a success rate of 93.33% out of 30 test cycles. In conclusion, the developed prototype is effective in monitoring water levels and automatically controlling the water gate and pump. The integration with an IoT platform enables remote real-time monitoring, offering a practical and efficient solution for flood risk mitigation in river areas. Keywords: Internet of Things, ESP32, ultrasonic sensor, ThingsBoard, flood, automation, river monitoring.
