Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sebuah mesin spinning yang digunakan dalam proses pembentukan logam plat aluminium A1100 dengan ketebalan 1,2 mm menggunakan penggerak motor listrik berdaya 750 watt. Perancangan mesin dilakukan untuk menghasilkan alat yang mampu bekerja secara stabil, aman, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan proses spinning, khususnya dalam membentuk plat aluminium dengan kualitas hasil yang baik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi tahapan perancangan mekanik mesin, perhitungan elemen mesin seperti sistem transmisi, gaya spinning, dan torsi, serta simulasi kekuatan struktur rangka menggunakan metode Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Selain itu, dilakukan proses perakitan mesin dan pengujian kinerja melalui proses spinning pada beberapa spesimen uji untuk mengevaluasi kestabilan operasi, sistem penjepitan plat, dan kualitas hasil pembentukan yang dihasilkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mesin spinning yang dirancang mampu beroperasi dengan stabil pada putaran kerja yang direncanakan, sistem penjepit plat bekerja dengan baik tanpa terjadinya slip selama proses spinning, serta struktur rangka mampu menahan beban dan gaya yang bekerja dengan nilai tegangan yang masih berada di bawah batas aman material. Proses spinning menghasilkan benda kerja yang sesuai dengan bentuk mandrel dengan kualitas permukaan yang baik dan tanpa cacat signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mesin spinning yang dirancang dan dibangun telah memenuhi fungsi kerja yang diharapkan dan layak digunakan untuk proses pembentukan plat aluminium A1100 sesuai dengan parameter perancangan yang telah ditentukan. ***** This research aims to design and build a spinning machine used in the process of forming A1100 aluminum plate metal with a thickness of 1.2 mm using a 750 watt electric motor drive. The machine design was carried out to produce a tool that is able to work stably, safely, and according to the needs of the spinning process, especially in forming aluminum plates with good quality results. The research methods used include the mechanical design stages of the machine, calculations of machine elements such as the transmission system, spinning force, and torque, as well as simulation of the frame structure strength using the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method. In addition, the machine assembly process and performance testing were carried out through the spinning process on several test specimens to evaluate operational stability, the plate clamping system, and the quality of the resulting forming results. The results of the study indicate that the designed spinning machine is able to operate stably at the planned working rotation, the plate clamping system works well without slipping during the spinning process, and the frame structure is able to withstand the loads and forces that work with stress values that are still below the safe limits of the material. The spinning process produces workpieces that match the shape of the mandrel with good surface quality and without significant defects. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the designed and built spinning machine has fulfilled the expected work functions and is suitable for use in the A1100 aluminum plate forming process according to the specified design parameters.
