Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh eksposur karier, efikasi diri, penghargaan finansial, lingkungan kerja, nilai-nilai sosial, dan pertimbangan pasar kerja terhadap minat berkarier sebagai akuntan bersertifikat Chartered Accountant (CA). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel penelitian meliputi seluruh mahasiswa aktif Program Studi S1 Akuntansi Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) angkatan 2022, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 123 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling dengan metode sampling jenuh (sensus). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner online dengan skala Likert empat poin yang disusun dan dikembangkan dari indicator penelitian. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa eksposur karier, penghargaan finansial, dan pertimbangan pasar kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat berkarier sebagai akuntan bersertifikat CA. Adapun efikasi diri, lingkungan kerja, dan nilai-nilai sosial tidak terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat berkarier tersebut. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (IAI) perlu mengoptimalkan peran pengurus muda serta komunitas mahasiswa binaan sebagai media promosi dan media edukasi profesi akuntan di lingkungan perguruan tinggi. Selain itu, institusi pendidikan, khususnya Program Studi S1 Akuntansi UNJ, diharapkan dapat memperkuat strategi pengembangan akademik yang berorientasi pada kebutuhan dunia kerja melalui program pendampingan karier, magang, serta penguatan jejaring dengan praktisi dan organisasi profesi. Mahasiswa juga diharapkan lebih proaktif dalam mengembangkan diri dan menggali informasi terkait sertifikasi profesi, peluang kerja, dan prospek karier di bidang akuntansi. Kata Kunci: Akuntan CA, Efikasi Diri, Eksposur Karier, Minat Berkarier, Penghargaan Finansial ***** This study aims to analyze the effects of career exposure, self-efficacy, financial rewards, work environment, social values, and job market considerations on career interest as a Certified Chartered Accountant (CA). This research employs a quantitative approach. The population and sample consist of all active undergraduate students of the Accounting Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), class of 2022, with a total of 123 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a saturated sampling (census) method. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using a four-point Likert scale, which was developed based on the research indicators. The collected data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The hypothesis testing results indicate that career exposure, financial rewards, and job market considerations have a positive and significant effect on interest in pursuing a career as a Chartered Accountant (CA). Meanwhile, self-efficacy, work environment, and social values are not proven to have a significant effect on such career interest. The implications of this study suggest that the Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (IAI) needs to optimize the role of young administrators and fostered student communities as promotional media and educational media for the accounting profession in the university environment. In addition, educational institutions, particularly the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program at UNJ, are expected to strengthen academic development strategies oriented toward job market needs through career mentoring programs, internships, and the enhancement of networks with practitioners and professional organizations. Students are also expected to be more proactive in developing their competencies and seeking information related to professional certification, employment opportunities, and career prospects in the field of accounting.
