Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Program Adiwiyata serta menganalisis faktor kesadaran lingkungan guna mengkaji penerapan Program Adiwiyata yang belum optimal. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Adiwiyata telah direncanakan secara sistematis dan partisipatif diimplementasikan melalui empat komponen utama, yaitu kebijakan berwawasan lingkungan, kurikulum berbasis lingkungan, kegiatan lingkungan berbasis partisipatif, dan pengelolaan sarana pendukung ramah lingkungan. Hambatan pelaksanaan Program Adiwiyata berupa perbedaan karakter dan kebiasaan peserta didik, keterbatasan kompetensi guru, serta keterbatasan anggaran. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa Program Adiwiyata telah mengupayakan stimulus pengetahuan, tindakan dan sikap kesadaran lingkungan namun, belum sepenuhnya mampu membentuk kesadaran lingkungan peserta didik. Dari empat (4) faktor kesadaran lingkungan yang dianalisis, faktor gaya hidup yang memperlihatkan aktivitas, minat, dan pendapat peserta didik yang masih merusak lingkungan sehingga gaya hidup ramah lingkungan belum tercermin dalam kehidupan peserta didik. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi pada inovasi pembelajaran dan kegiatan berbasis lingkungan Program Adiwiyata sekolah. ***** This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program and to examine the factors influencing environmental awareness in order to assess why the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program has not been optimal. This study employed a qualitative method, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, documentation, and literature review. The results show that the Adiwiyata Program has been systematically and participatively planned, and implemented through four main components: environmentally sound policy, environment-based curriculum, participatory environmental activities, and the management of environmentally friendly supporting facilities. Obstacles in the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program include differences in students' characters and habits, limited teacher competence, and budget constraints. This study also found that the Adiwiyata Program has attempted to stimulate environmental knowledge, action, and attitudes; however, it has not yet been fully able to shape students' environmental awareness. Among the four factors of environmental awareness analyzed, the lifestyle factor was found to be the most dominant, as reflected in students' activities, interests, and opinions that still tend to be environmentally harmful, indicating that an environmentally friendly lifestyle has not yet been reflected in students' daily lives. These findings contribute to the innovation of environment-based learning and activities within the school's Adiwiyata Program.
