Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan persepsi masyarakat terhadap dampak keberadaan PT. Nagare Adventure dan menganalisis pengaruh aktivitas rafting terhadap keberlangsungan ekowisata di Desa Muara Jaya, Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap pengelola, pegawai, warga sekitar, dan pengunjung, lalu dianalisis menggunakan teknik Miles dan Huberman (2014). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persepsi masyarakat secara umum positif pada aspek ekonomi, sosial budaya, dan lingkungan, meskipun penyerapan tenaga kerja lokal dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengambilan keputusan masih terbatas, serta pengelolaan sampah sungai belum optimal. Aktivitas rafting PT. Nagare Adventure baru memenuhi sebagian karakteristik ekowisata (Ceballos-Lascuráin, 1987) dan prinsip Community Based Tourism (Hausler & Strasdas, 2002), terutama pada edukasi lingkungan dan distribusi manfaat ekonomi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan edukasi lingkungan, partisipasi masyarakat, dan kerja sama antaroperator wisata. Kata kunci: Ecotourism, dampak pariwisata, rafting, community based Tourism, Desa Muara Jaya ***** This study aims to describe community perceptions of the impacts of the presence of PT Nagare Adventure and to analyze the influence of rafting activities on the sustainability of Ecotourism in Muara Jaya Village, Bogor Regency. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the management, employees, local residents, and visitors. The data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model developed by Miles and Huberman (2014). The findings indicate that the community generally holds positive perceptions regarding the economic, socio-cultural, and environmental impacts of PT Nagare Adventure. However, several challenges remain, including limited employment opportunities for local residents, insufficient community participation in decision-making processes, and suboptimal river waste management. Furthermore, the rafting activities conducted by PT Nagare Adventure fulfill only some of the characteristics of Ecotourism as proposed by Ceballos-Lascuráin (1987) and the principles of Community-Based Tourism introduced by Hausler and Strasdas (2002), particularly in terms of environmental education and the distribution of economic benefits. This study recommends strengthening environmental education initiatives, increasing community participation, and enhancing collaboration among Tourism operators to support the long-term sustainability of Ecotourism.
