Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing yang terintegrasi dengan pendekatan SETS dan kelas yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik (5M) pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 93 Jakarta pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga didapatkan Kelas XI Kimia Peminatan 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas XI Kimia Peminatan 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society). Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui nilai pretest dan posttest yang terdiri dari 5 soal uraian dan 2 soal pilihan ganda kompleks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor posttest kelas eksperimen (64,47) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol (57,75), dengan hasil uji Independent Sample t-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,019 (Sig. < 0,05). Selain itu, nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen (0,34) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (0,22). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi SETS berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan literasi sains peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga dan lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pendekatan saintifik (5M). ***** This study aims to find out the difference in the average science literacy skills of students between classes that use the guided inquiry learning model integrated with the SETS approach and classes that use the 5M learning model or the scientific approach on the topic of buffer solutions. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 93 Jakarta in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method using a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in Class XI Chemistry Specialization 1 as the experimental class and Class XI Chemistry Specialization 2 as the control class. The experimental class carried out a guided inquiry learning model integrated with SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society). This research data was obtained through pretest and posttest scores, which consisted of 5 essay questions and 2 complex multiple-choice questions. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class (64.47) was higher compared to the control class (57.75), with the Independent Sample t-Test showing a significance value of 0.019 (Sig. < 0.05). In addition, the N-Gain score of the experimental class (0.34) was higher than that of the control class (0.22). Therefore, it can be concluded that Guided Inquiry Integrated with Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) has a positive effect on improving students' scientific literacy in the buffer solution topic and is more effective than the scientific approach (5M).
