Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan sekolah dalam membentuk kedisiplinan dan kejujuran siswa di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi. Secara khusus, penelitian ini mendeskripsikan praktik mindful leadership, menganalisis peran unsur pimpinan sekolah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan, mengidentifikasi strategi sekolah, serta menganalisis bentuk kedisiplinan dan kejujuran siswa di lingkungan sekolah, rumah, dan kegiatan praktik kerja lapangan atau magang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus intrinsik. Data diperoleh dari enam informan yang dipilih secara purposif, terdiri atas Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Kurikulum, guru robotik, guru produktif, tenaga kependidikan, dan dua orang tua/wali murid. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Keabsahan data diperkuat melalui triangulasi sumber, teknik, dan waktu serta penggunaan bahan referensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik mindful leadership diwujudkan melalui pembinaan yang sadar, reflektif, peduli, adil, dan tidak hanya berorientasi pada pemberian hukuman. Unsur pimpinan sekolah berperan dalam mengarahkan kebijakan, mengoordinasikan program, melakukan monitoring, dan mengevaluasi pembinaan siswa. Guru berperan melalui keteladanan, pengelolaan pembelajaran, pembiasaan disiplin, penguatan kejujuran akademik, serta pengaitan nilai karakter dengan tuntutan dunia kerja. Tenaga kependidikan mendukung melalui pencatatan kehadiran, keteraturan administrasi, pelaporan, dan koordinasi pembinaan. Strategi sekolah dilaksanakan melalui perpaduan tata tertib, keteladanan, pembiasaan, komunikasi reflektif, pengawasan, pelayanan administrasi, pembekalan, dan monitoring kegiatan magang. Kedisiplinan dan kejujuran siswa tampak dalam keteraturan, tanggung jawab, kejujuran akademik dan administratif, perilaku di rumah, serta kepatuhan dan pelaporan kegiatan magang. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pembentukan kedisiplinan dan kejujuran siswa berlangsung melalui kepemimpinan sekolah yang kolektif, sadar, reflektif, sistemik, dan berkelanjutan, dengan nilai cinta kasih sebagai landasan budaya pembinaan karakter. Kata kunci: kepemimpinan sekolah, mindful leadership, kedisiplinan siswa, kejujuran, sekolah menengah kejuruan. ***** This study aims to analyse school leadership in fostering student discipline and honesty at Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Vocational High School. Specifically, the study describes the practice of mindful leadership, analyses the roles of school leaders, teachers, and educational staff, identifies the strategies implemented by the school, and examines the manifestations of student discipline and honesty at school, at home, and during workplace internship activities. This study employed a qualitative approach using an intrinsic case study design. Data were obtained from six purposively selected informants, comprising the Vice Principal for Curriculum, a robotics teacher, a vocational subject teacher, an educational staff member, and two parents or guardians. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and document analysis. The data were analysed through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. Data trustworthiness was strengthened through source, technique, and time triangulation, as well as the use of supporting reference materials. The findings indicate that mindful leadership was practised through conscious, reflective, caring, and fair student development that was not solely oriented towards punishment. School leaders played roles in directing policies, coordinating programmes, monitoring activities, and evaluating student development. Teachers contributed through role modelling, classroom management, the habituation of discipline, the reinforcement of academic honesty, and the integration of character values with workplace expectations. Educational staff supported character development through attendance recording, orderly administration, reporting, and coordination. The school’s strategies combined school regulations, role modelling, habituation, reflective communication, supervision, administrative services, pre-internship preparation, and internship monitoring. Student discipline and honesty were reflected in orderly behaviour, responsibility, academic and administrative honesty, behaviour at home, compliance with workplace regulations, and internship reporting. The study concludes that the development of student discipline and honesty takes place through collective, conscious, reflective, systemic, and continuous school leadership, with the value of compassion serving as the cultural foundation for character development.
