Abstract

Industri otomotif merupakan salah satu sektor prioritas dalam program Making Indonesia 4.0, termasuk industri manufaktur sepeda motor yang berperan strategis dalam perekonomian nasional. PT. XYZ, sebagai salah satu perusahaan manufaktur perakitan dan distribusi sepeda motor terbesar di Indonesia, dituntut untuk menjaga efisiensi lini produksi agar tetap kompetitif di pasar domestik maupun global. Perubahan tata letak (layout) pada area machining cylinder comp AB5, di mana area machining sebelumnya dialihfungsikan menjadi line marketing, menimbulkan permasalahan baru pada alur produksi berupa pemborosan (waste) waktu tunggu (waiting) dan pergerakan tidak perlu (motion). Data produksi cylinder comp periode Oktober 2025 hingga Maret 2026 juga menunjukkan jumlah output yang tidak stabil setiap bulannya, sejalan dengan fluktuasi permintaan dari part center, sehingga efisiensi proses produksi menjadi semakin penting untuk dijaga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan objek penelitian berupa produksi cylinder comp tipe AB5 pada proses machining di PT. XYZ, Pegangsaan, Jakarta Utara, dengan periode pengamatan Oktober 2025 hingga Maret 2026. Data primer diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan operator, leader, dan quality control, serta pengukuran waktu kerja menggunakan stopwatch yang dilakukan sebanyak 30 kali pengulangan pada setiap elemen kerja. Data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumen perusahaan terkait cycle time dan data produksi. Pengolahan data dilakukan melalui pendeskripsian aliran proses produksi, perhitungan Manufacturing Lead Time, perhitungan Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE), perancangan diagram SIPOC, serta perancangan Value Stream Mapping (VSM) current state dan future state. ***** The automotive industry is one of the priority sectors in the Making Indonesia 4.0 program, including the motorcycle manufacturing industry, which plays a strategic role in the national economy. PT. XYZ, as one of the largest motorcycle manufacturing, assembly, and distribution companies in Indonesia, is required to maintain the efficiency of its production lines in order to remain competitive in both the domestic and global markets. A change in the layout of the AB5 cylinder comp machining area—where the former machining area was repurposed as a marketing line has created new problems in the production flow in the form of waste due to waiting time and unnecessary motion. Production data for cylinder comps from October 2025 to March 2026 also shows unstable monthly output levels, in line with fluctuations in demand from the parts center, making it increasingly important to maintain production process efficiency. This study employs a quantitative method, focusing on the production of AB5-type cylinder comps during the machining process at PT. XYZ in Pegangsaan, North Jakarta, with an observation period from October 2025 to March 2026. Primary data was collected through field observations, interviews with operators, team leaders, and quality control personnel, as well as work time measurements using a stopwatch, conducted 30 times for each work element. Secondary data was obtained from company documents related to cycle time and production data. Data processing involved describing the production process flow, calculating Manufacturing Lead Time, calculating Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE), designing a SIPOC diagram, and designing Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for the current and future states.
