Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konjungsi subordinatif penyebaban yang terdapat di dalam artikel berita daring Dewiku.com. Penelitian ini berfokus dalam menganalisis bentuk konjungsi serta kategori sintaksis pada bentuk konjungsi subordinatif penyebaban yang dipakai di dalam artikel berita daring Dewiku.com. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode agih dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis permutasi, substitusi, dan pelesapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 85 judul artikel berita terdapat 142 data penggunaan konjungsi subordinatif penyebaban dengan bentuk konjungsi ‘karena’ sebanyak 140 kali dan ‘sebab’ sebanyak 2 kali. Selain itu, dari 142 data terdapat 144 penggunaan konjungsi yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sintaksis dengan 101 data sebagai kata penghubung dan 43 data sebagai kata depan. Perbedaan jumlah data terjadi karena adanya pengulangan penggunaan konjungsi dalam satu kutipan kalimat yang sama. Melalui hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa konjungsi yang masuk ke dalam kategori sintaksis sebagai kata penghubung (konjungsi) menghubungkan dua klausa, sedangkan yang masuk ke dalam kategori sebagai kata depan melekat dengan frasa nominal. Penggunaan konjungsi subordinatif penyebaban ini berfungsi sebagai keterangan sebab dan berperan untuk menghubungkan makna alasan pada sebuah tindakan, fenomena, atau peristiwa. Kata kunci: konjungsi, konjungsi subordinatif penyebaban, sintaksis, artikel berita daring ***** This study aims to analyse the causal subordinate conjunctions found in online news articles on Dewiku.com. The study focuses on analysing the forms of these conjunctions and their syntactic categories as used in online news articles on Dewiku.com. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using permutation, substitution and elision analysis techniques. The results show that out of 85 news article headlines, there were 142 subordinate causative conjunctions, with the form ‘karena’ occurring 140 times and ‘sebab’ occurring twice. Furthermore, of the 142 instances, 144 uses of conjunctions fell into the syntactic category, with 101 instances functioning as conjunctions and 43 as prepositions. The discrepancy in the number of instances is due to the repeated use of conjunctions within the same sentence. The results of this analysis show that conjunctions falling into the syntactic category as conjunctions connects two clauses, whilst those falling into the category of prepositions are attached to a noun phrase. The use of these causal subordinate conjunctions functions as a causal modifier and serves to convey the reason behind an action, phenomenon or event.
