Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan GeoGebra terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 231 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain posttest only control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII I sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Negeri 231 Jakarta. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa diukur menggunakan instrumen posttest berupa tujuh butir soal uraian pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Teknik analisis dilakukan menggunakan uji Liliefors untuk menguji normalitas, uji Fisher untuk menguji homogenitas, dan uji-t untuk menguji hipotesis mengenai perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pengujian hipotesis statistik menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 5% menghasilkan nilai t_{hitung}=2,86 dan t_{(0,95;64)}=1,67 sehingga diperoleh {t_{hitung}\gt t}_{tabel}. Dengan demikian, keputusan yang diambil adalah tolak H_{0} yang berarti rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan GeoGebra terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 231 Jakarta. Besar pengaruh yang diperoleh sebesar 0,70 yang termasuk kategori sedang dengan persentase 76% ***** This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model type jigsaw assisted by GeoGebra on the mathematical communication ability of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 231 Jakarta. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a posttest only control group design. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling, so that class VIII G was obtained as the experimental class and class VIII I as the control class at SMP Negeri 231 Jakarta. Students' mathematical communication ability was measured using a posttest instrument consisting of seven essay questions on the topic of flat-sided three-dimensional shapes that had been declared valid and reliable. The analysis technique was carried out using the Liliefors test to examine normality, the Fisher test to examine homogeneity, and the t-test to examine the hypothesis regarding the difference in the average mathematical communication ability between the experimental class and the control class. Statistical hypothesis testing using the t-test at a significance level of 5% resulted in t_{count}=2,86 and t_{(0,95;64)}=1,67, so that {t_{count}\gt t}_{table} was obtained. Therefore, the decision is to reject H₀ which means that the average mathematical communication ability of the experimental class students is higher than the control class. This indicates that there is an effect of the cooperative learning model type jigsaw assisted by GeoGebra on the mathematical communication ability of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 231 Jakarta. The effect size obtained was 0.70 which is categorized as medium with a percentage of 76%.
