Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi digital dalam industri konstruksi mendorong transisi dari metode Computer-Aided Design (CAD) menuju Building Information Modeling (BIM) sehingga menuntut drafter memiliki kompetensi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesenjangan kompetensi teknis drafter industri konstruksi dalam penguasaan CAD dan Building Information Modeling (BIM) berdasarkan tingkat penguasaan kompetensi yang dimiliki, tingkat kebutuhan kompetensi di industri, serta menentukan prioritas pengembangan kompetensi.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Competency Gap Analysis berdasarkan teori Boyatzis. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 69 drafter industri konstruksi yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang telah divalidasi oleh tiga validator ahli dan dinyatakan reliabel dengan nilai Percentage Agreement sebesar 88,89%. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan perhitungan nilai kesenjangan kompetensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi berbasis Building Information Modeling (BIM), seperti pemodelan bangunan tiga dimensi, koordinasi model lintas disiplin, dan clash detection, merupakan kompetensi yang paling dibutuhkan oleh industri konstruksi. Indikator Organizational Environment memiliki tingkat kebutuhan tertinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 3,287, sedangkan indikator Individual Competencies memiliki kesenjangan kompetensi terbesar dengan nilai gap sebesar 0,381. Kompetensi membuat pemodelan bangunan tiga dimensi menggunakan BIM memiliki nilai gap tertinggi, yaitu 0,667. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kompetensi drafter perlu diprioritaskan pada kompetensi BIM tanpa mengabaikan penguasaan CAD sebagai kompetensi dasar agar mampu memenuhi kebutuhan industri konstruksi pada era transformasi digital. Kata Kunci: AutoCAD, BIM, Competency Gap, Drafter, Kompetensi Teknis**** The development of digital technology in the construction industry has encouraged the transition from the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) method to Building Information Modeling (BIM) so that it requires designers to have competencies that are in accordance with the needs of the industry. This study aims to analyze the gap in technical competencies of construction industry designers in mastering CAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) based on the level of competency mastery possessed, the level of competency needs in the industry, and determining competency development priorities. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a Competency Gap Analysis approach based on Boyatzis' theory. The research sample totaled 69 construction industry drafters who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. The data was collected through a questionnaire that had been validated by three expert validators and was declared reliable with a Percentage Agreement value of 88.89%. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics and the calculation of competency gap values. The results of the study show that Building Information Modeling (BIM)-based competencies, such as three-dimensional building modeling, cross-disciplinary model coordination, and clash detection, are the competencies most needed by the construction industry. The Organizational Environment indicator had the highest level of needs with an average score of 3.287, while the Individual Competencies indicator had the largest competency gap with a gap value of 0.381. The competence makes three-dimensional building modeling using BIM have the highest gap value, which is 0.667. The findings show that the development of drafter competencies needs to be prioritized on BIM competencies without neglecting the mastery of CAD as a basic competency in order to be able to meet the needs of the construction industry in the era of digital transformation.
