Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan ChatGPT terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik kelas VIII. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Sampel penelitian ditentukan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sehingga diperoleh satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL berbantuan ChatGPT, sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran secara konvensional. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis berbentuk lima soal uraian. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis dilakukan, data telah memenuhi uji prasyarat berupa uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikansi 0.05 yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai t_hitung>t_((0.05;60)) yaitu 3.067 > 2.003 sehingga H₀ ditolak. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan model PBL berbantuan ChatGPT lebih tinggi dibandingkan peserta didik yang belajar dengan model konvensional. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa model PBL berbantuan ChatGPT berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik. Besarnya pengaruh yang dihitung menggunakan Cohen’s d sebesar 0.779 termasuk dalam kategori besar (large effect). Dengan demikian, model PBL berbantuan ChatGPT berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik di SMPI AL-Azhar 12 Rawamangun. ***** This study aimed to examine the effect of the ChatGPT-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical conceptual understanding of eighth-grade students. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method. A posttest only control group design was implemented. The sample was selected through cluster random sampling, resulting in one experimental class and one control class. The experimental class received instruction using the ChatGPT-assisted Problem-Based Learning model, whereas the control class received conventional instruction. Data were collected using a mathematical conceptual understanding test consisting of five essay questions. Prior to hypothesis testing, the data satisfied the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. Hypothesis testing was conducted using an independent-samples t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the calculated t-value exceeded the critical t-value (t = 3.067 > t(0.05;60) = 2.003), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. This finding indicates that the mean mathematical conceptual understanding score of students who learned through the ChatGPT-assisted Problem-Based Learning model was significantly higher than that of students who received conventional instruction. These results suggest that the ChatGPT-assisted Problem-Based Learning model had a significant positive effect on students' mathematical conceptual understanding. Furthermore, the magnitude of the effect, as measured by Cohen's d, was 0.779, indicating a large effect size. Therefore, the ChatGPT-assisted Problem-Based Learning model had a significant effect on the mathematical conceptual understanding of eighth-grade students at SMPI Al-Azhar 12 Rawamangun.
