Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan, mengembangkan, dan memvalidasi prototipe e-modul keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris yang mengintegrasikan Literasi Keberlanjutan dan Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) bagi siswa kelas sebelas SMA. Penelitian Pengembangan (Research and Development atau R&D) ini menggunakan model ADDIE, yang mencakup tahap Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, dan Evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis dokumen dan wawancara dengan tiga guru bahasa Inggris SMA untuk mengidentifikasi praktik yang sedang berjalan, kebutuhan belajar, serta tantangan dalam pengajaran keterampilan berbicara. Temuan dari tahap analisis menjadi dasar bagi desain dan pengembangan e-modul keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris yang selaras dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, deskriptor CEFR tingkat B1, dimensi Literasi Keberlanjutan (Masyarakat/People, Kesejahteraan/Prosperity, dan Lingkungan/Planet), serta Visual Thinking Strategies. Prototipe e-modul yang dikembangkan mencakup empat tema: Communicating Wellness, Learning for Change, Work that Matters, dan Voices for the Ocean. Literasi Keberlanjutan menjadi konten tematis, sementara Visual Thinking Strategies berfungsi sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran untuk mendukung aktivitas berbicara bahasa Inggris. Materi yang dikembangkan dievaluasi oleh para ahli pendidikan dari segi konten Literasi Keberlanjutan, Visual Thinking Strategies, keterampilan berbicara, aspek kebahasaan, dan sistematika penyajian; prototipe e-modul ini memperoleh skor 168 dari 180 (93,33%), yang menunjukkan tingkat validitas tinggi dan kelayakan untuk digunakan sebagai sumber belajar tambahan dalam pengajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris di SMA. ***** This study aimed to identify the needs for, develop, and validate an English speaking prototype e-module integrating Sustainability Literacy and Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) for eleventh-grade senior high school students. This Research and Development (R&D) study employed the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. Data were collected through document analysis and interviews with three senior high school English teachers to identify existing practices, learning needs, and challenges in teaching speaking. The findings from the analysis stage informed the design and development of an English-speaking e-module aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum, CEFR B1 descriptors, Sustainability Literacy dimensions (People, Prosperity, and Planet), and Visual Thinking Strategies. The developed prototype e-module comprises four themes: Communicating Wellness, Learning for Change, Work that Matters, and Voices for the Ocean. Sustainability Literacy serves as the thematic content, while Visual Thinking Strategies function as the instructional approach to support English-speaking activities. The developed materials were evaluated by educational experts in terms of Sustainability Literacy content, Visual Thinking Strategies, speaking skills, language, and organization, achieving a score of 168 out of 180 (93.33%), indicating that the prototype e-module is highly valid and suitable for use as a supplementary resource for teaching English speaking in senior high schools.
