Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui program SATAPO di SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2019 sampai April 2020. Peneliti menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi.Pelaksanaan merupakan kegiatan menjalankan dan mengusahakan untuk merealisasikan rencana secara efisien dan efektif agar dapat mencapai tujuan. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakterdi SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayudilakukan agar dapat tercapainya tujuan pendidikan nasional. Pendidikan karakter perlu dilakukan agar dapat menjadikan individu yang berkarakter baik.Pendidikan karakter sangat diperlukan dalam mewujudkan peserta didik yang memiliki prinsip-prisip kebenaran yang saling menghargai dan kasih sayang antar sesama.Peduli lingkungan merupakan sikap yag berupaya mencegah kerusakan lingkungan disekitar. Peduli lingkungan SATAPO (sayangi tanaman dan pohon) merupakan salah satu dari 17 program peduli lingkungan di SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu yang bertujuan untuk merawat dan melestarikan tanaman dan pohon. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu which aims to determine the implementation of character education caring for the environment through the SATAPO program at SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu. This research was conducted from December 2019 to April 2020. Researchers used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation study.Implementation is an activity to carry out and endeavor to realize plans efficiently and effectively in order to achieve goals. The implementation of character education at SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu is carried out in order to achieve the goals of national education. Character education needs to be done in order to make individuals with good character. Character education is very necessary in realizing students who have the principles of truth that respect each other and love each other. Caring for the environment is an attitude that seeks to prevent damage to the surrounding environment. Care for the environment SATAPO (love plants and trees) is oneof 17 environmental care programs at SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu which aims to care for and preserve plants and trees.
