Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data empiris mengenai analisis penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial kelas V sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kepustakaan. Sumber data penelitian berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer terdiri dari hasil penelitian terdahulu. Sedangkan, data sekunder terdiri dari makalah dan buku yang ditulis oleh para ahli. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui metode pengumpulan data yakni metode dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share berperan penting dalam memberikan pengaruh dan/atau peningkatan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial kelas V sekolah dasar. Tahapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share, meliputi: a) pendahuluan, b) tahap thinking, c) tahap pairing, d) tahap sharing, dan e) penutup. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diukur menggunakan lima indikator, yaitu: 1) kemampuan menganalisis, 2) kemampuan menyintesis, 3) kemampuan memecahkan masalah, 4) kemampuan menyimpulkan, dan 5) kemampuan mengevaluasi. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share mempunyai keterkaitan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang tampak pada kegiatan berdiskusi. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial *********** Abstract : This study aims to obtain empirical data about the analysis of application the think pair share type of cooperative learning model in developing students' critical thinking ability in learning Social Studies on fifth grade elementary school. The method used in this research is literature study method. Sources of research data in the form of primary data and secondary data. Primary data consist of the results of previous studies. Meanwhile, secondary data consists of papers and books written by experts. The research data is based on the documentation data method. The results of the research are the think pair share type of cooperative learning model had an important role in providing effect and improvement on students' critical thinking ability in learning Social Studies on fifth grade elementary school. The stages applied to the think pair share type of cooperative learning model includes: a) introduction, b) thinking, c) pairing, d) sharing, and e) closing. Students' critical thinking ability are measured using five indicators, namely: 1) analyze, 2) synthesize, 3) solve problems, 4) conclude, and 5) evaluate. The think pair share type of cooperative learning model which has a relationship with students' critical thinking ability is seen in discussion activities.
