Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antara motivasi belajar, konsentrasi, dan penguasaan kosakata terhadap keterampilan menyimak bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa bahasa Jepang di Universitas Riau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, metode survei dengan teknik pengukuran dan tes, sedangkan teknik analisis menggunakan pendekatan analisis jalur (path analysis). Populasi menggunakan populasi sasaran adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester IV bahasa Jepang di Universitas Riau berjumlah 52 mahasiswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampel total (total sampling). Pengujian hipotesis pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap keterampilan menyimak bahasa Jepang sebesar -0,311. Pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap keterampilan menyimak bahasa Jepang sebesar 0,309. Pengaruh penguasaan kosakata terhadap keterampilan menyimak bahasa Jepang sebesar 0,281. Pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap penguasaan kosakata sebesar 0,287. Pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap penguasaan kosakata sebesar 0,410. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: (1) terdapat pengaruh positif antara motivasi belajar terhadap keterampilan menyimak bahasa Jepang pada mahasiswa bahasa Jepang Universitas Riau; (2) terdapat pengaruh positif antara konsentrasi keterampilan menyimak bahasa Jepang pada mahasiswa bahasa Jepang Universitas Riau; (3) terdapat pengaruh positif antara penguasaan kosakata terhadap keterampilan menyimak bahasa Jepang pada mahasiswa bahasa Jepang Universitas Riau; (4) terdapat pengaruh positif antara motivasi belajar terhadap penguasaan kosakata pada mahasiswa bahasa Jepang Universitas Riau; (5) terdapat pengaruh positif antara konsentrasi terhadap penguasaan kosakata pada mahasiswa bahasa Jepang Universitas Riau. ********** The aim of this research is to find out whether motivation, concentration and vocabulary mastery have both indirect and direct impacts on the students’ listening skill while learning Japanese. The participants in this research were students majoring Japanese Language at Riau University. The research method implemented is by making use of quantitative approach and survey method. While the survey method was carried out through measuring technique and a test, and the analysis was done through path analysis approach. The population targeted was all 52 students at Riau University, in which total sampling technique was used by the researcher. The hypothesis testing shows the effects of learning motivation, concentration and vocabulary mastery on listening skill in the Japanese class. The effects in the hypothesis testing indicate that learning motivation was -0,311, concentration was 0,309, and vocabulary mastery was 0,281. In addition, the effects of learning motivation and concentration on vocabulary mastery were 0,287 and 0,410 respectively. Given the findings from the Japanese class at Riau University, it can be concluded that there are positive effects of learning motivation, concentration and vocabulary mastery on listening skill. The findings also suggest that there is positive effect of learning motivation and concentration on vocabulary mastery.
