Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan instruksional dan ketekunan terhadap kinerja siswa. Oleh karena itu, digunakan metode survei kausal dengan memilih secara acak 76 siswa SMAN 13 Jakarta. Terdapat tiga instrumen yang telah dikembangkan untuk mengukur tiap variabel meliputi kepemimpinan Instruksional (28 item, rel .857), ketekunan (29 item, rel .843) dan kinerja siswa (24 item, rel .767). Data dianalisis dengan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan Instruksional berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja siswa, kepemimpinan instruksional berpengaruh langsung terhadap ketekunan, ketekunan berpengaruh langsung tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja siswa dan kepemimpinan instruksional tidak berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap kinerja siswa melalui ketekunan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketekunan bukanlah variabel mediasi yang baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam upaya meminimalkan variasi kinerja siswa, faktor seperti kepemimpinan instruksional perlu dipertimbangkan. Hal ini mengimplikasikan bahwa kebijakan sekolah mungkin paling baik dikembangkan dengan menempatkan kepemimpinan instruksional dan kinerja siswa sebagai prioritas dalam menjaga kualitas kinerja siswa, terutama selama pandemi. This research was aimed at finding out the effect of instructional leadership and persistence on students performance. Therefore , a survey used by selecting randomly 76 students in SMAN 13 Jakarta. There were three instruments measured, Instructional Leadership (28 items with a reliability coefficient .857), persistence (29 items with a reliability coefficient .843), and students performance (24 items with a reliability coefficient .767). Data analyzed by path analysis. The research results showed that Instructional Leadership directly affected on students performance, Instructional Leadership directly affected on persistence, persistence directly but wasn’t significantly affected on Students Performance, then instructional Leadership wasn’t affected on Students Performance indirectly through persistence. Therefore, it can be interpreted that Persistence wasn’t a good mediator. Based on those results, it could be concluded that in trying to minimize the variation of students performance, so the factor such as instructional leadership should be taken into consideration. This would imply that a school policy might be best developed by putting instructional leadership as a priorirty in maintaining the students performance quality, especially during the pandemic.
