Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran dan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang bagaimana strategi pengelolaan pendidikan di Pusat Kegiatan Anak Yayasan Sahabat Anak. Secara spesifik penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi yang dapat dipercaya tentang pengelolaan kurikulum, pengelolaan siswa, pengelolaan tenaga pengajar, dan pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana di Pusat Kegiatan Anak Yayasan Sahabat Anak. Subjek penelitian merupakan direktur yayasan, direktur operasional, kepala divisi pendidikan, kepala sekolah, dan di Pusat Kegiatan Anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dandata penelitian didapat dengan melakukan teknik wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum dirancang berdasarkan kebutuhan anak, usia, dan hasil belajar serta melibatkan orangtua, anak-anak, guru, dan pengurus yayasan dalam merancang kurikulum. Pengelolaan peserta didik difokuskan pada anak-anak jalanan yang berusia tidak lebih dari 17 tahun dan memiliki orangtua atau wali untuk menjamin pendampingan. Para tenaga pengajar direkrut secara personal dan tidak dipublikasikan dan penerimaan tenaga sukarelawan untuk berpartisipasi terbuka setiap saat. Pengadaan sarana dan prasarana diperoleh dari sumbangan para donatur dan dari penyewaan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam memanajemen layanan pendidikan berbasis masyarakat khususnya pendidikan bagi anak jalanan. The purpose of this study was to find out the view and perspectives of education management strategy at the Children's Activity Center of the Sahabat Anak Foundation The study focused on finding the reliable information about curriculum management, student management, teacher management, and equipment management. The informants were director of organisation, operational director, and head of education division including the teacher as one of the founder that started the center. This study used qualitative descriptive approach and research data obtained through interviews. The result of this study showed that the curriculum management at Pusat Kegiatan Anak Sahabat Anak was designed based on the children’s needs, age, and outcomes needs. They involved parents, children, teachers and the management in designing the curriculum. The student management focused on street children who are not more than 17 years old and have either parents or guardian in order to ensure the supervision. The teachers recruited through personal based approach and did not publish publicly, however, volunteers were welcomed to participate. The facilities and infrastructure were provided through donation from donors and renting based on learning needs. This research is expected to contribute in managing community-based education services, specifically education for street children.
