ABSTRAK Indah Faujiah. 2021. Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menari Peserta Didik Melalui Metode Tutor Sebaya Di Sanggar Catrik Palagan Kota Sukabumi. Skripsi. Program Studi Pendidikan Tari, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data mengenai peningkatan kemampuan menari peserta didik di Sanggar Catrik Palagan Kota Sukabumi. Manfaat penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan informasi bagi mahasiswa selanjutnya yang ingin penelitian dengan menggunakan hasil temuan di lapangan mengenai penerapan metode tutor sebaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menari peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan (Action Research). Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, tiap siklus meliputi perencanaan (planning), aksi/tindakan (action), observasi (observing), dan refleksi (refleting). Penelitian ini berlangsung pada tangga 6 bulan November 2020 hingga 2 Desember 2020 di Sanggar Catrik Palagan Kota Sukabumi dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, tes, observasi, dokumentasi dan angket. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa metode tutor sebaya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menari pada peserta didik berdasarkan unsur-unsur tari yaitu wiraga, wirama, dan wirasa. Berdasarkan hasil pada pra-siklus 42,7%, siklus I meningkat 70,5%, dan siklus II menjadi 94,7%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka menerapkan metode tutor sebaya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menari peserta didik dalam pelatihan tari, dan dapat membuat peserta didik menjadi aktif dan mandiri sehingga terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan dalam hasil pelatihan tari. This study aims to obtain data on the improvement of students' dancing ability in the Sanggar Catrik Palagan, Sukabumi City. The benefit of this research is expected to provide information for further students who want to research using the findings in the field regarding the application of the peer tutor method to improve students' dancing skills. The research method used is action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle includes planning, action/action, observation, and reflection. This research took place on the 6th ladder from November 2020 to December 2 2020 at Sanggar Catrik Palagan, Sukabumi City using data collection techniques in the form of interviews, tests, observations, documentation and questionnaires. The results obtained from this study indicate that the peer tutoring method can improve the dancing ability of students based on dance elements, namely wiraga, wirama, and wirasa. Based on the results in pre-cycle 42.7%, cycle I increased 70.5%, and cycle II became 94.7%. Based on the research results, applying the peer tutor method can improve the dancing ability of students in dance training, and can make students become active and independent so that there is an increase in completeness in the results of dance training.
