Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media berupa media Go- Learning sebagai media pembelajaran membaca permulaan dengan tulisan awas bagi siswa low vision. Media Go-Learning dapat digunakan di laptop ataupun gawai berbasis android. Media ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (RnD) dengan model pengembangan Sugiyono. Validasi dilakukan oleh tiga ahli, yaitu ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli ketunanetraan dengan perolehan rata-rata hasil yang dicapai adalah baik, yaitu dengan presentase 80% dari 100%. Media Go-Learning di ujicoba kepada salah satu siswa low vision kelas 9 yang bersekolah di SLB A Pembina Tingkat Nasional. Ujicoba dilakukan di rumah siswa karena kegiatan belajar mengajar dilakukan di rumah selama pandemi COVID 19. Hasil ujicoba menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih nyaman dan mudah menggunakan media Go-Learning di gawai daripada laptop dan telah mampu membaca pada fase awal yaitu kata walaupun masih memerlukan bimbingan serta penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media Go-Learning dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran membaca permulaan pada siswa low vision. Diharapkan guru dan orang tua dapat menggunakan media Go-Learning untuk dalam belajar membaca permulaan This study aims to generate a media in the form of Go-Learning media as a learning media for reading word recognition with caution writing for low vision students. Go-Learning media can be used on a laptop or Android based devices. This media use the Research and Development (RnD) method with Sugiyono The validation was carried out by three experts, specifically media experts, material experts, and blind people with good average results, with a percentage of 80% of 100%. Go-Learning media was tested on one of the 9th grade low vision students who is attending the National Level Supervisory Special School A. The trials were conducted at student’s house because teaching and learning activities were carried out at home during the COVID19 pandemic. The test results show that student are more comfortable and easier to use Go-Learning media on devices than laptop and have been able to read in early phase, specifically word although the student still need guidance and this research shows that Go-Learning media can be used as a learning media for reading word recognition for low vision students. Expected teachers and parents can use Go-Learning media for reading word recognition.
