Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh moral disengagement terhadap cyberbullying pada mahasiswa di Universitas X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan data diambil menggunakan kuesioner pada google form. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif Universitas X dengan rentang usia 18-25 tahun yang pernah melakukan cyberbullying dalam 6 bulan terakhir. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Revised Cyber Bullying Inventory II yang dibuat oleh Topcu dan Erdur-Baker (2017) untuk skala cyberbullying dan Moral Disengagement yang dibuat oleh Detert, Trevino, dan Sweitzer (2008) untuk skala moral disengagement. Total responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 54 responden. Hipotesis alternatif (Ha) yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh moral disengagement terhadap cyberbullying pada mahasiswa di Universitas X. Dari hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan bahwa nilai p-value 0,904 > 0,05 (α), sedangkan nilai Fhitung 0,006 < Ftabel 4,02 (df 1,53). Dari hasil ini, hipotesis alternatif (Ha) yang diajukan ditolak. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh moral disengagement terhadap cyberbullying pada mahasiswa di Universitas X. The aim of this study is to find out the effect of moral disengagement on cyberbullying on students at University X. This study using quantitative research and data was collected using questionnaire by google form. The respondent in this study is students at University X with the age range from 18-25 years that ever done in cyberbullying in the last 6 months. Instrument in this study using Revised Cyber Bullying Inventory II from Topcu and Erdur-Baker (2017) for cyberbullying and Moral Disengagement from Detert, Trevino, and Sweitzer (2008) for moral disengagement. Respondent that has been collected is 54 people. The hypothesis that proposed in this study is there is the effect of moral disengagement on cyberbullying on students at University X. From the result of hypothesis tests, score of p-value 0,904 > 0,05 (α), while score of Fcount 0,006 < Ftable 4,02 (df 1,53). From the result, the hypothesis that proposed in this study is rejected. The conclusion of this study is there is not the effect of moral disengagement on cyberbullying on students at University X.
