Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif pada siswa SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecerdasan emosional adalah Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS). Kesejahteraan subjektif diukur menggunakan Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) dan Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). Responden penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK (N = 244). Hasil uji analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa F hit > F tabel (F = 17,09) dan p < α (.000 < 0,05), maka Ha1 diterima sehingga terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif berdasarkan kepuasan hidup pada siswa SMK. Selain itu, hasil analisis kedua menunjukkan bahwa F hit > F tabel (F = 143,06) dan p < α (.000 < 0,05), maka Ha2 diterima sehingga terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif berdasarkan afek positif pada siswa SMK. Hasil analisis ketiga juga menunjukkan bahwa F hit > F tabel (F = 8,531) dan p < α (.004 < 0,05), maka Ha3 diterima sehingga terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif berdasarkan afek negatif pada siswa SMK. This study aimed to find out the effect of emotional intelligence on subjective well-being in vocational high school students. This study used a quantitative method. The instrument used to measure emotional intelligence was Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS). Subjective well-being was measured using the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). The research respondents were vocational high school students (N = 244). The results of the simple linear regression analysis showed that F hit > F table (F = 17.09) and p < α (.000 < 0.05), then Ha1 was accepted so that there was an effect of emotional intelligence on subjective well-being based on life satisfaction in vocational high school students. Besides, the results of the second analysis showed that F hit > F table (F = 143.06) and p < α (.000 < 0.05), then Ha2 was accepted so that there was an effect of emotional intelligence on subjective wellbeing based on positive effect on vocational high school students. The results of the third analysis also showed that F hit > F table (F = 8.531) and p < α (.004 < 0.05), then Ha3 was accepted so that there was an effect of emotional intelligence on subjective well-being based on negative effect on vocational high school students.
