Monica Dwi Puspitasari. 2020. Representasi Ritual Pengobatan Sikerei Suku Mentawai Melalui Tari “Agot Laggai” Menggunakan Metode Moving From Within Alma M Hawkins. Pendidikan Tari. Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni. Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Karya Tari ini mendeskripsikan prosesi ritual pengobatan Sikerei Suku Mentawai sebagai tema dalam penciptaan karya tari kreasi baru. Prosesi ritual pengobatan yang dipercayai memanggil roh yang sedang meninggalkan tubuh si sakit. Ritual pengobatan ini mengkaitkan tarian yang menjadi media untuk roh leluhur sehingga Sikerei sebagai penari kerasukan roh leluhur. Hasil penciptaan karya tari sebagai berikut: (1) Sikerei merupakan dukun yang menjadi tokoh yang penting di Suku Mentawai (2) Tari Agot Laggai bercerita tentang ritual pengobatan yang ada pada suku Mentawai Kata Kunci :Suku Mentawai, Sikerei, Ritual Pengobatan, Tari Agot Laggai. Faculty of Language and Art. State University of Jakarta. This dance work describes the ritual procession of the Mentawai tribe’s Sikerei treatment as a theme in the creation of new dance creations. The healing ritual procession is believed to summon the spirit that is leaving the body of the sick person. This healing ritual links the dance to being a medium for ancestral spirits so that Sikereis as a dancer is possessed by ancestral spirits. The results of the dance creation are as follows: (1) Sikereis is a shanab who is an important figure in the Mentawai Tribe (2) Agot Laggai dance tells about the healing rituals that exist in the Mentawai tribe.
