Abstract

Kehidupan keluarga yang harmonis adalah hal yang sangat diinginkan semua orang, tidak terkecuali anak-anak. Sayangnya, hal tersebut tidak dapat dirasakan oleh anak-anak yang berasal dari keluarga yang memiliki kondisi sebaliknya. Hal tersebut tentu akan memengaruhi kondisi psikisnya, salah satunya dalam hal mempertahankan egonya. Fenomena ini tergambar dalam novel Di Tanah Lada karangan Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap karakter, struktur kepribadian, dan mekanisme pertahanan ego yang mendominasi tokoh Salva dalam novel tersebut. Objek penelitian ini adalah novel itu sendiri yang dianalisis dengan kajian psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud yang diawali dengan analisis fakta cerita dengan kajian strukturalisme Robert Stanton. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh Salva memiliki karakter sebagaimana manusia pada umumnya, yaitu memiliki aspek positif dan negatif sekaligus dalam dirinya. Alur yang digunakan memiliki formula lima tahap. Latar yang digunakan meliputi latar tempat berupa rumah lama Salva, bandara, Rusun Nero, rumah makan, tempat judi, rumah Penjaga Rusun, hotel, tempat fotokopi, rumah sakit, halaman masjid, rumah Tukang Sate, stasiun, pelabuhan, dan pantai, latar waktu yang meliputi hari Rabu, 26 Juni 2013, malam hari, pagi hari, tanggal 4 Juli 2013, dan pukul 10.15, serta latar sosial berupa kegiatan maksiat berupa sabung ayam, kondisi keluarga yang tidak harmonis, dan orangtua yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Kemudian, struktur kepribadian Salva lebih banyak berorientasi pada prinsip moral atau dengan kata lain, superego menjadi area yang paling banyak bekerja untuk mengarahkan tokoh tersebut dalam bersikap. Sebagai inti penelitian, proses pembentukan reaksi menjadi bentuk mekanisme pertahanan ego yang paling banyak dilakukan Salva, disusul oleh proses intelektualisasi yang mendukung pengembangan kecerdasan linguistiknya. Kata kunci: Tokoh Salva, Psikoanalisis, Mekanisme Pertahanan Ego A harmonious family is something that is a huge desire for everyone, especially children. Unfortunately, such families can't be realised for children that comes from a families with the complete opposite of a harmonious nature. Such factors would surely affect their psychological state, for instance in maintaining one's ego. This phenomenon is Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie's novel called Di Tanah Lada. This research aims to examine and reveal the characteristics, structure of personality and Salva's mechanism of ego defense that dominates in the novel. Our research material is the novel itself which is analysed by Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis study, opened with the analysis of the story facts, with the Robert Stanton's structuralism study. A qualitative approach will be the method that we will employ in this analysis. This research is of descriptive nature. Results show that Salva has the characteristics of what a human would have, with both positive and negative aspects existing. The plot used has a five-step formulation. Some settings that were involved include Salva's old house, the airport, Nero's flats, the restaurant, the casino, the flats' guard house, the hotel, the photocopy center, the hospital, the mosque's yard, the Sate vendor's house, the train station, the port and the beach. A time setting from Wednesday, 26th June 2013 in the morning to 4th July 2013 at 10.15, along with the social settings of an immoral practice of cockfighting, a non-harmonious family and irresponsible parents. Subsequently, Salva's personality structure lean towards moral principles, or in other words, superego becomes a field which works towards directing a certain character to behave. As a gist of the research, the reaction formation process becomes a mechanism in an ego defense which was done the most by Salva, followed by the intellectualization process which supports the development in her linguistic ability.
