Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hasil penerapan metode debat aktif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat siswa sekolah dasar pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menganalisis jurnal penelitian tindakan kelas yang sesuai dengan variabel yang diteliti serta pada buku mata pelajaran tematik siswa sekolah dasar. Analisis data yang dilakukan mengikuti model Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode debat aktif dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat siswa. Selain kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat, materi-materi yang ada pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode debat aktif dapat mengasah kemampuan berfikir kritis, keaktifan, komunikasi, keberanian serta rasa percaya diri siswa. ********* This study aims to identify the results of applying the active debate method in increasing the ability to express the opinions of elementary school students on Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects. The research method used in this research is literature study. This research was conducted by analyzing classroom action research journals in accordance with the variables studied as well as in the thematic subject books of elementary school students. The data analysis was carried out following the Miles and Huberman model which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the application of the active debate method in learning could improve the ability to express students' opinions. In addition to the ability to express opinions, the materials available in Pancasila and Citizenship Education learning carried out using the active debate method can hone students' critical thinking skills, activeness, communication, courage and self-confidence.
